Do you like these big social events?

Jan: If there aren't too many of them in a year, then yes, but I think the Czech Lion or the Karlovy Vary Film Festival are events where one should be if they are interested in film and our profession.

What do you think of the younger generation of actors? Do they have it harder or easier these days?

Lenka: Neither harder nor easier.

Jan: It's different for them.

Lenka: It's a bit different, but not completely different.

I would say neither harder nor easier.

We currently see your son in one series, do you discuss his acting performances at home?

Jan: We do not discuss it with him and one thing is that our son already lives alone, he does not live with us. And the second thing is that he does not let us interfere and we do not even want to interfere.

He comes to these things on his own and that is the right way.

Do you have a dream role, or have you already played what you wished for?

Jan: I dream of playing a card game in a cottage with minimal text and a bunch of shooting days.

Lenka: (laughter) That's great. Well, I would sit there under a tree with a book and it would be nice.

What are you willing to sacrifice for a role? Lose weight, get a haircut?

Jan: If there was time and space, I think Czech actors are capable of doing a lot for the role, but time is important.

Lenka: The fact that a person gets a haircut or shaves their head, or loses weight for a role, that's normal for us.

We are all willing to do everything for it, when it's an interesting theme and you know why.

What do you think about the fact that viewers associate your persona with the actor's character? How do you perceive it?

Jan: Sometimes I feel like they only approach me by that character and they kind of forget about that Jan Dolansky, but that's probably okay.

What does Honza Dolanský do when he's not acting?

That's an interesting question. Honza Dolanský occasionally spends time with his youngest son, because he is constantly entertaining and a source of various mischief, so he can really spend a lot of time with him.

What about you, when you're not acting?

Lenka: Lately, I have been feeling that I am starting to think about myself. When I have free time, I like to meet up with my girlfriends, who I didn't have as much time for in the past, I like to go work out, go to the hairdresser, I like to go to the cinema or to the theater.

I'm trying to fill the time so that I don't feel like my days are passing by.

Thanks to the fact that the kids are more or less not at home, except for Johan, there is more space.

How did you celebrate International Women's Day?

Lenka: We made an amazing lunch in the garden and made it really nice, kind of summery, and said it's for the International Women's Day.

Was there a flower?

Jan: There wasn't a flower, but work on the gift at home is still in progress. I can't say more, so it will come when we get home, so it's not spoiled by Johan. (Laughter) I can't reveal it.
