British fashion designer Jenny Packham was allegedly inspired by the sophisticated beauty of Japanese gardens when creating her new collection. In my opinion, the truth is elsewhere: this lady was clearly inspired by the film “Saturday Night Fever”… nothing more.
Sequins, sequins and a tonne of ruffles, which were heavily criticised even by the best fashion experts during the American Screen Actors Guild awards, where they showed up in droves. I don’t really want to offend anybody, but honestly: you can find vast quantities of similar dresses in the ordinary ready-to-wear evening gown shop, for instance in the largely overlooked Kotva department store. Eugh…
The only gown that is at least slightly different is the silver one with the almost sheer top. The silver cascade that almost reveals one of the greatest female weapons will like attract anybody’s attention. Yes, I would call this art. But to wear it in public? In my view, only if you have a runway instead of a bust.
