"CES showed how the pandemic accelerated the arc of innovation. From the latest innovations for the home and entertainment to advances in 5G, vehicle technology, AI and digital health, the technologies at CES 2021 will pave the way for a brighter tomorrow," said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

There's no end in sight for the coronavirus pandemic. Many global companies have responded to this situation. Unlike last year when 4,400 participants joined the show, only 1,800 exhibitors signed up for the event this year. Still, there was definitely a lot to look at. Tech giants presented various innovations that will enter global markets this year.

LG introduced the miniature PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, which you can wear like a regular face mask. It is equipped with filters and a UV/LED lamp.

Embedded sensors detect when you inhale and exhale. A mobile app alerts you once the filters need to be replaced. Inside the mask, there is a battery that offers up to 8 hours of operation in low mode. The price of the mask is around 200 euros, i.e. approximately 5,200 Czech crowns.

A mask that monitors breathing

The AirPop Active + face mask is interesting for its design. It has an illuminated module with a sensor on its side, the lifespan of which is approximately half a year. The mask sends data to a smartphone application. For example, it tracks how regularly you breathe or what pollutants are blocked by the mask filter. The approximate price is around 120 EUR, i.e. about 3,100 CZK.

The mask is especially interesting because it has a built-in microphone and speakers, so you don't have to worry about not being heard properly. Thanks to this innovation, it amplifies your voice. The price was not specified.
