Gucci Ceremonially Opens its first Bookshop in New York
The new chapter of Gucci was opened
Gucci Wooster is located in creative district of Soho in New York on 63 Wooster Street, which has recently invested in its transformation and redevelopment. The titles offered will all concern a specific topic: avant-garde art and photographs, but there will also be rare books, or the newest titles from the world of fashion. The authorised person was David Strettel who specialises in photography and assembled more than 2,000 titles. In the shelves of the luxurious library, you can find many talents who cooperated with the luxurious house of Gucci, including Petra Collins, Ari Marcopoulos, Ryan McGinleye, Martina Parra and Florence Welch. To sum it up, you get your hands on an impressive selection of specialised journals, magazines and books from the fashion, culture, art, illustration, design and photography fields.
The interior is made in a truly luxury style
The bookstore is decorated by refurbished pieces made of beautiful, luxury wooden furniture and a range of Gucci works. It was built in the spirit of a "boutique café", you will feel very comfortable here. You can sit down into dramatically-looking large sofas of mustard colour. Under your feet spreads a glorious rustic woven carpet with giant flowers. The appropriately darkened space and lightly lit shelves full of interesting reading material will be an oasis for your soul.
