Givenchy Haute Couture: Luxury Worn by Nicole Kidman to the Golden Globes
Clare Waight Keller is experiencing a Haute Couture debut, having chosen a feminine path Clare Waight Keller has been the Givenchy Creative Director for a relatively short time. Last year she replaced Riccardo Tisci after long twelve years and therefore it has been a great unknown what will she come up with for Haute Couture. The designer chose a feminine path, refraining from decorativeness, returning to clean lines which she put in perfect combination with luxurious materials - satin, organza, tulle or wool.

The British designer confirmed her talent having created a wide range of luxury items that despite the simplicity and clean lines are definitely not boring. Although one third of the collection is black, the rest may be regarded as extravagance or stylish elegance.
A colourful skirt, with a wide range of shades thus evokes the impression of Carrie Bradshaw. This is undoubtedly an essential piece for the wardrobe of all who love originality and are not afraid to stand out of the crowd. Similar models are those trimmed by coloured ostrich feathers.

Close-fitting elegant coats, stylish costumes, long diffuse gowns covered in sequins, crystals, gold and silver elements and other embellishments. All luxury pieces were created by Clare Waight Keller in maxi length and no other length may be found in the collection at all.
At Golden Globes, Nicole Kidman glowed in a piece by Givenchy
One luxurious piece from the workshop of Givenchy Haute Couture SS 2018 has already been presented this year by the Hollywood star, Nicole Kidman at the Golden Globes Awards. The charismatic actress put on a stunning black model, whose top was adorned by crystals, transparent fabric and bold decoration on the back, while the skirt was simply black as a contrast.

Nothing that would stand out
Clare Waight Keller, as a fresh creative director of the Givenchy fashion house has been a promise of new, unconventional ideas and a breath of fresh air. However, I have not seen any shocking models which would stand out by their originality.
Nicole Kidman appeared at Golden Globes as Clare´s vanguard, whose fragile frame in the black gown reminded one of the angel of death. I know it sounds cruel, but her pale to almost transparent complexion in combination with the deep black… Moreover that bony protruding spine showing in the back neckline ...it gives one the chills!
But so as not to be quite so grim, I found a few models that are definitely worth it. Silver-covered evening gown in combination with a black coat, whose lining conceals white-blue ostrich feathers. Finally there is an evening coat to be seen which looks quite different (hurray!). And then, for Haute Couture a rather unusual simplicity. A pure white gown with an obvious tendency toward classic, clean Greek lines: big thumbs-up! As the saying goes, beauty lies in simplicity and in such a dress one can really enjoy the evening. And in total comfort, too! Just try to ignore it...
