A different style of living space
Creative solution two in one. For the creative agency, Fjord, in Helsinki, the Studio Joanna Laajisto created a luxury space built so as to feel cozy home-like atmosphere, featuring modern and striking fittings, but also to achieve a balance between work and pleasure. “Elegant, unconventional and human-friendly - those were the beginnings of our design. This is an office primarily intended for employees, for them to feel as though they were at home" says designer Joanna Laajisto about the modern, unconventional approach.
The environment is friendly, home-like, luxurious and mainly all-Finnish
Studio Fjord Helsinki extends on an area of 1,000 square metres. It was furnished using natural, high-quality materials: oak floors with a mat absorbing sound, sisal carpets and many house plants. The light passes through fine metal divisions separating different rooms, curtains, landings and seating cushions, which, if necessary, provide pleasant privacy.
The interior is a demonstration of luxury Finnish design
When you need to keep your head clear, or to come up with new ideas, luxury sofa will provide an appropriate place to relax. The lounges are equipped with chairs by Artek Rival and large carpets of the living rooms are from Woodnotes, while the chairs by Knoll's Womb were designed by Finnish designer, Eero Saarinen. Lighting - the large bulbs of the living room are called PJ01 and were designed by Joanna Laajista and designer Pasi Kärkkäinen. Green-coloured kitchens blend with natural materials and were equipped with chairs Domus Ilmari Tapiovaara and oak tables and benches from Nikara.

Studio Joanna Laajisto was founded in 2010 in Helsinki. The company specialises in commercial interiors from retail and gastronomy to workplace design, from product design to concept implementation.
