Fashion from the Colonnade: who Enjoys Comfort through the Day and who Shines even outside the Parties?!
Who maintains the status of a fashion icon throughout the festival and who instead at leisure enjoys casual style? Our Fashion Against the Current went ahead to shed some light on it.

Stars dressed in sunny colours: Pazderková, Kasanová, Pavlovčinová
The colonnade was brightened by summer yellow. This positive colour overruled all others, worn for a walk in Carlsbad by for example Iva Pazderková, Radka Pavlovčinová or winner of the Miss Face 2017, Kateřina Kasanová. While Kateřina deserves from us an underlined A+ for the fresh midi model, accentuated by a denim jacket in beautiful shade of blue and comfortable white sneakers; for Iva we would chose a more tailored model that would not resemble a nightdress quite so much. However, we are as excited from the dress of Radka Pavlovčinová as from the flawlessly selected accessories. Indeed, beautiful!
Luxury casual look of Hana Vagnerová
Similarly to Iva Pazderková, Nelly Řehořová too, reached, little incomprehensibly, for a piece that evokes a nightgown, albeit a luxurious one. We were more taken by the model of her sister Tereza, who wore fresh summer colours, including yellow. And the trendy shade was sported also by actress Hana Vagnerová. For the concert of Tim Robbins she chose a luxury casual look accompanied also by a yellow handbag. Here that was a first class choice, also incredibly flattering.
Always perfect Eliška Hašková Coolidge
Former Director of the Presidential Reports Office and special assistant to five American Presidents at the White House appeared on the colonnade in luxurious elegance and as always, looked stunning. Sophisticated style and years of experience must be her secret recipe that we can only envy.
Iva Janžurová chose compromise
The talented and popular actress certainly made an effort. The green pants are crisp and youthful and won our approval. The next time we recommend more appropriate footwear and there will be no objections.
Doleželová, Mališová, Štefličková: beauty queens bet on bohemian look
Romantic flowers were the choice of beauty queens Jana Doležalová, Lea Štefličková and Karolína Mališová. Karolina adhered to neon colours and bet on bohemian look. Similar move was also made by Lea Štefličková who put on a white mini dress with a bold pattern.
Jana Doležalová struggles with fashion quite often; this time round she made a happier choice, though there is some room for improvement. We would do away with the leatherette bolero and hat and the result would be much better.
Summery Andrea Verešová and Marie Renčová hit it off, first-class
The outfits of Andrea and Marie are a pleasant summer affair, really pleasant to look at and we believe just as comfortable, too. This is exactly how we envisage outfits made for a stroll along the colonnade with a Carlsbad wafer in hand. Great!
From men´s outfits we´ve specially noted Milan Peroutka, and Jan Kalousek matures like wine!
One of the best dressed men at the colonnade was undoubtedly Milan Peroutka. His outfit is youthful and fine tuned to the last detail. We liked the model of Andrea Bezděková a little less; although is certainly looks comfy, is too sporty, looking a little as if the model stopped by on her way from a tennis court. A charming impression was made by singer Jan Kalousek who seems to be maturing like wine. With a formal jacket and white shirt he wore jeans, which we regard as compromise.
Search for Tatiana Pauhofová!
The outfit of the beautiful actress is super. But we have a bit of a problem with the overall look. Shouldn´t we perhaps search for Tatiana, who was almost lost in the oversize jacket?
Ondřej Sokol with a girlfriend: exemption, which confirms the rule….
Although black and white is in majority of cases a safe bet, Ondřej Sokol is an exception that proves the rule. The model looks cheap and the overall impression is not rescued by the sporty style.
Matěj Ruppert is elegant dandy; but his wife Tereza didn´t quite hit it off!
While Matěj Ruppert at the colonnade appeared in a luxury suit and looked truly excellent, his wife Tereza didn´t quite make the best choice. We believe that motherhood is a difficult task, but Jana Doleželová in a flowery model demonstrated that it may also be elegantly handled!
Názor PROTI PROUDU: Ornella Koktová
Anyone who thinks that they are under fashion scrutiny only at prominent parties, would be WRONG. And as you can see, many Czech stars quite forgot about that. And that is why, when you look at a certain group, it is sometimes obvious at first sight, who is stylish by nature and who lets himself be dressed into pre-selected hired clothes...

Táňa knows very well how to work with fashion. Despite the fact that with her luxury figure she could carry off the most tightly fitting outfits, she sometimes goes for a more relaxed cut. A light blue maxi shirt paired with an elegant handbag, silver sandals and stylish aviator sunglasses is just perfection!

Eliška Hašková Coolidge:
I have known Mrs Coolidge since the time when we were both going to exercise to Intercontinental. And to be honest, even in the gym or the dressing room she always made an impression of the grandest lady, with the most refined taste to boot. Simply elegant under any circumstances. And the walks through Karlovy Vary was no exception. Here we see a stylish light blue suit with a classic black Birkin bag by Hermès. Perfection!

Jana Doležalová:
Although it is almost beyond belief, Jana is doing much better in informal environment, than at grand parties. Here we can see a chic Mummy in a pink jacket perfectly matching a hat and a longer airy skirt, paired with large sunglasses. It is the hat and stylish sunglasses that show the real flair here. So, keep that up, Jana…

Iva Janžurová:
The former bombshell of Czech silver screen quite surprised me by her at first glance comfortable but unattractive model. I was always of the belief that Mrs Iva is classy and under all circumstances and of inborn elegance. Unfortunately this photograph points out the little inattention or laxity of Czech women in general. One goes to KV IFF only once per year, well aware that there is a photographer on every corner, as well as lots and lots of fans...so why not take it in your stride like Dagmar Havlová and show off your best… A great pity.

Hana Vagnerová:
At other times almost perfectly dressed actress is known for experimenting with fashion. But as sometimes transpired, one can over-combine sometimes. And to be original whatever the cost is also useless. Every single piece which she wears is not bad by itself, but to put it all together like this was simply a mistake.

Ondřej Sokol:
One of the currently funniest people of the show business arrived at the colonnade as exemplary Czech yokel. Firstly, this combination is more suited to a young guy of around 15 years of age, secondly, his girlfriend looks like his older aunt and thirdly, if he had to put that on, it would be more suitable for a countryside trip and not this occasion!
