The Paris Fashion Week was rich on controversial collections and that is why we have prepared for you a selection of just a few of them. As you can see, even the master may sometimes make a mistake. Where there is style and elegance at other times, there this time around appeared a mix of shocking specimens. It seems that designers are a little tired of luxurious elegance and French style and have waited with a bit of suspense for a moment when they will be able fully to get into the swing letting their fantasy loose.
We cannot shake off the impression that the extravagant Maison Margiela in its creation focused primarily on beekeepers. The collection looks like a set of luxurious protective devices to protect you from being stung. It is absolutely unrealistic to try to ignore the eccentric accessories and see the rest of the model.
Although the men´s collection contains some truly luxurious pieces which includes for example stylish overcoats and jackets, the remaining part is sheer craziness. Neon colours, satin or phone numbers on shirts have taken care of unanimously including this collection among one of the worst what we could be seen in Paris. Thom Brown is certain to have drawn inspiration from the beauty of nude female bodies. The collection consists of crazy models which literally shout: "Look at by breasts or ideally even lower down." The models have artificially created nipples or other parts of the body from various decorative materials and the whole thing makes a confused, vulgar, even deterrent impression.
When looking at the collection of Issey Miyake one is lost for words. It is not at all clear what the designer wished to communicate by the various items, but it will probably be some sort of advice that even from potato sacks with a bit of luck one may create a model worthy of the catwalk. The Sacai FW 18/19 collection is carried in the spirit of creativity. Cut various pieces of clothing and stitch them together. P.S.: Without any taste.
Our selection is concluded by collections of Manish Arora and Yohji Yamamoto. Manish Arora advises you in the coming season to wrap a pillow round your neck and hurray into the streets. Yohji Yamamoto showcased a boring plethora of black cloaks complemented by an almost horror-style make-up.
The fashion rage at the Paris Fashion Week as always showed the downside of fashion. These are in fact walking delusions of designers who clearly do not have enough muses to come up with anything in the least beautiful.
First of all there were some models bearing elements of sexual deviance of auto-erotic asphyxia. The essence of this deviance is strangling or just suffocation (most commonly used is a noose or a plastic bag put over the head). And what is it that we saw at Maison Margiela? There was plastic everywhere, even across the head! When one thinks about it, maybe no wonder. When looking at the terrible tie-dyed dress and crookedly tailored overcoats, many an observer would wish to kill himself there and then.
Then a collection appeared on the scene with the working title 'innocence of the murderer maintained´. Yes, you guessed it correctly: we are talking here about the Balenciaga collection, where there appeared a polo-neck of the type "Never leaves behind any fingerprints". Who else than someone who doesn´t have a clear conscience, would wish to wear such nightmares? I already know, the bright green poloneck is to look like an Adidas vest, same as the one worn by Jiří Kajínek when released from prison, I wonder why?
To cap it all off we have here the bumpy collection by Thom Brown. Those jackets which by their cut here and there imitate Chanel, could be forgiven. But what about those plaster-like skirts?! First I remembered my artistic attempt in the sixth grade to produce a bunny from pink plaster, the shape of which ultimately bore resemblance to a guinea pig sarcophagus. I finally concluded my reflection when remembering cellulite. No, Thom, we would not like to wear close-ups of cellulite that we are determined to conceal!
