The General Service Administration (GSA) informed the newly elected President Joe Biden that it is ready to initiate the formal takeover process. It is a recognition of Biden's victory by a key government agency. This happened more than two weeks after the election winner had been announced. The incumbent President Donald Trump also commented on the matter on Twitter. He claimed it was in the country's interest for the General Service Administration and his team to do what needed to be done. However, he also mentioned that the head of the GSA had allegedly been threatened and under pressure.
"Please know that I came to my decision independently, based on the law and available facts. I was never directly or indirectly pressured by any Executive Branch official—including those who work at the White House or GSA—with regard to the substance or timing of my decision,"
Emily Murphy, head of the General Service Administration, denied his words.
Despite allowing the formal process of the transfer of power to begin, Trump still refuses to recognize Joe Biden as the winner of the election. Yet in recent days, Trump's legal team has been losing one court battle after another. They failed to provide any evidence regarding the manipulation of the elections.
Prague will provide financial support for selected sports venues

The Prague City Council has agreed to provide individual non-investment special-purpose subsidies. These should go to energy-intensive sports facilities that have significant operational losses in connection with measures against the spread of COVID-19. The subsidies will be earmarked to cover the costs associated with the operation of the sports facility in the period from July to December this year.
"The total amount to be redistributed within this extraordinary measure is 10 million crowns. Subsidies will be allocated in the amounts of 50 to 200 thousand crowns,"
said Vít Šimral, Prague´s councillor for sport.

The company Top Glove from Malaysia is about to close 28 of its plants. That's more than half of the total number of factories the world's largest manufacturer of latex gloves owns. The company issued the order after almost 2,500 of its employees had tested positive for coronavirus. Top Glove had seen record profits this year due to the sharp increase in demand for personal protective equipment, including gloves. However, after the these measures had been announced, the company's shares fell by more than 7 percent within a couple of hours. Top Glove operates 41 factories in Malaysia and most of its employees come from Nepal and live in crowded dormitories. The share of positive tests within the company exceeded 40 percent.

The 47-year-old actor, best known for his role as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother, is the new star reinforcement in the forthcoming film The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent. It is scheduled to premiere next year and its main protagonist is Nicolas Cage, who plays himself. The film, currently characterized as a comedy/drama, deals with his efforts to get a role in Quentin Tarantino's new blockbuster. Cage will experience a lot of issues on the silver screen - big financial problems, a tense relationship with his teenage daughter, and also an egoistic version of himself. According to available information, Neil Patrick Harris should play his agent in the film.
