Four Royal Navy patrol ships will be ready from 1 January to help the UK protect its fishing waters in the event of a no-deal Brexit, says Prime Minister Boris Johnson, according to whom Britain is likely to complete its exit from the EU in three weeks.

"This preparation includes having 14,000 personnel on standby to to ensure that we are ready to support other government departments and agencies over the winter, including the EU transition, COVID-19 and potential adverse weather events,"

The City of Prague is launching a new service for the citizens from Monday, December 14. During the state of emergency, when, according to the government's crisis measure, office hours for the public have to be limited, it will be possible to handle queries related to housing stock via the Prague Contact Center information line, even outside office hours.

"I believe that the involvement of the Prague Contact Center in handling phone calls to the housing department will be beneficial for both parties. Citizens will have their calls answered by a professional operator even outside office hours, and employees of the housing department will be able to spend more time processing written rental applications, which will speed up the whole process,"

said Adam Zábranský, councilor of the capital city of Prague. During the state of emergency, people can now ask their questions regarding rental applications for properties owned by the City of Prague every work day outside the current office hours.

An investigation was launched in Idaho after a bronze statue of holocaust victim Anna Frank, whose life became famous thanks to her diary, had been damaged earlier this week.

The Wassmuth Human Rights Center, which had erected the memorial in 2002, posted life-size photographs of the statue with a sticker and a swastika symbol on it, accompanied by the message "We're Everywhere", on Facebook. It is the only Anne Frank memorial in the United States.

"What makes this event truly sad was the shamelessness in where the stickers were placed, how they were placed, and the message they preached,"

said Dan Prinzing, executive director of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. The fact that the incident took place just before the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah makes it even more painful.

The recent appearances of Kate Middleton and Prince William were a family affair. Yesterday, the royal couple arrived at the Palladium in London with all three of their children (George, Charlotte, Louis) for a special performance of the Pantoland National Lottery.

It was the first time they appeared on the red carpet as a group of five. Kate Middleton donned a a navy midi dress by Alessandra Rich. Prince William was also dressed in the navy blue shade and complemented his jacket with a red sweater and black pants.

Princess Charlotte looked adorable in her gray-blue plaid dress. Prince George matched his father, wearing a red-and-black striped sweater. Baby Louis had a blue woolen jacket.

Another large species of cat was tested positive for coronavirus, this time the Snow Leopard, making it the sixth animal species confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus after contact with humans. Two male and female show leopards tested positive for the virus at the Louisville Zoo, as confirmed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service on Friday.

The female's infection was confirmed first. All three leopards, whose symptoms are "mild" and include wheezes and dry coughs, are expected to fully recover, Louisville Zoo director John Walczak said in a filmed statement. The leopards were likely infected by an asymptomatic staff member despite precautions taken by the zoo.

It's unlikely the leopards - or other animals - pose a significant risk in transmitting the virus to humans, as Covid-19 is primarily spread between people. The snow leopards are one of at least six animal species to become infected with coronavirus after close contact with humans. The first was a Malayan tiger at the Bronx Zoo.

That's all we have for you today. Have a nice, and don't forget to enjoy your Saturday, because as psychologist and writer Ralph Smart said:

"Walk away from anything that gives you bad vibes. There is no need to explain or make sense of it. It’s your life. Do what makes you happy."
