President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden had their first opportunity to attack each other face to face. And in the hour and a half long duel, not a minute passed without one of the candidates angrily interrupting the other. Whether the topic was the coronavirus pandemic, the Supreme Court, the economy or the other's family.
"Shut up, man!" Biden shouted at Trump at one point, adding, "You're the worst president America has ever had."
"China ate your lunch," Trump said to Biden during questions about the economy.

The reconstruction of one of the most important arteries of Prague transport has begun! Drivers don't have to worry about it yet, though, as the goal of the first phase of the reconstruction work is the rehabilitation of the structures of the lower part of the bridge. In the future, however, significant traffic restrictions on the bridge will be inevitable. The commencement of the reconstruction of the superstructure is preliminarily planned for spring 2022, the expected completion of all works could happen in 2025.

"In order to restrict drivers on their journeys as little as possible, we are already working on proposals for alternative traffic management and to increase the capacity of the connecting communication network and detour routes. That is why we have increased the capacity of the entry and exit from Modřanská Street in advance. The whole operation was coordinated with the planned general reconstruction of the Barrandov Bridge, which we planned so as to have the least possible impact on traffic in Prague. That will require capacity entries and exits, in which we could direct cars and public transport within the individual stages. And we are looking for other similar possibilities,"
said Adam Scheinher, Deputy Mayor of Prague for Transport.

The music world mourns another loss. Australian singer, actress and songwriter Helen Reddy died at the age of 78. The Grammy Award winner and Broadway actress became famous mainly for the song I Am Woman from 1972 - a captivating melody that gained tremendous popularity in the women's liberation movement. The hit could also be heard in the second sequel to the popular film Sex in the City, where all four main heroines - Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda - belted it out on stage.
The author of the feminist anthem was described by her children Traci Donat and Jordan Sommers as "an amazing mother, grandmother and a truly imposing woman." Helen Reddy was diagnosed with dementia in 2015 and spent the last years of her life in a nursing home in Los Angeles.

Elon Musk is once again publicly downplaying the risks of Covid-19. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO claimed he would not be vaccinated once the Covid-19 vaccine was available. He also declined to answer the question whether he felt obliged to pay wages to employees who expressed the wish to stay at home. The third richest man in the world proposes, like many others, to quarantine only vulnerable groups and individuals.
Musk has been skeptical of the vaccine for a long time. In the past, he got into a fight with Bill Gates over it.
"“Elon’s positioning is to maintain a high level of outrageous comments," Gates said. "He’s not much involved in vaccines. He makes a great electric car. And his rockets work well. So he’s allowed to say these things."
When Gates revealed his doubts about the potential of long-distance electric vehicles in early September, Musk repaid him in kind and tweeted that Gates "had no clue".

The tension is palpable here! After LVMH decided to withdraw from the November agreement with Tiffany & Co., a number of lawsuits followed in quick succession. At first Tiffany took matters to court, now it's LVMH. Understandable, when billions are at stake! LVMH was to pay a record $ 16.2 billion for Tiffany, but the group had a change of heart.
According to LVMH, Tiffany is no longer the store it used to be before the pandemic. The Group continues to fully believe in its position and claims that the conditions necessary to complete the acquisition of Tiffany have not been met. In their submission, they accused the jewelry company, among other things, of paying high dividends despite showing high losses, assuming additional debt and burning cash.
"Tiffany's mismanagement of its affairs constitutes a flagrant violation of its duty to operate," LVMH said.
