At least some stereotypes probably reflect reality: apparently, women do spend most often on cosmetics and men on computer games. At least that's the finding Home Credit made in their survey on what people most often buy in installments from websites.

In the cathegory of women, the top three places are taken by health and beauty products, children's clothing, flowers, and gift items, whereas men prefer to spend their money on computer software and games, auto-moto, and computer hardware.

Justice for Breonna Taylor

Things in America are getting wild again. The night protests in Louisville, Kentucky, were triggered by a court ruling that only one of the three police officers involved in the case of Breonna Taylor, a black woman who had been killed in March during a police raid in her house, would be charged. Not with the murder of Taylor, but with endangering her neighbors.

Twenty-six-year-old Taylor was killed in front of her boyfriend when three police officers broke into her house in the middle of the night.

Two police officers sustained a gunshot wound during the protests. Neither is in danger of death. Donald Trump responded to the event on his Twitter:

"Praying for the two police officers that were shot tonight in Louisville, Kentucky. TThe Federal Government stands behind you and is ready to help. I have spoken to Kentucky‘s governor, Andy Beshear, a Democrat, and we are prepared to work together, immediately upon request!"

People are also protesting in other cities, though, such as Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia and Washington.

J. K. Rowling probably wasn't happy that the scandal, which she caused with her (according to some people transphobic) tweets in June, has been almost forgotten, and felt the need to revisit the topic. This time, she recommends her fans an e-shop, which sells items with phrases such as "Transwomen are men", "Transmen are my sisters" or "Woman is not a costume".

Her new thriller Troubled Blood, in which one of the possible killers dresses in women's clothing, also received harsh criticism. It doesn't look like sales have been affected, though - 65,000 copies were sold last week.

Leading car manufacturers, such as Tesla, Volvo, Ford and Mercedes-Benz, are complaining about last year's customs tariffs on important parts from China - they said they were 'arbitrary'. Therefore, filed a lawsuit against Trump's office.

What bothers manufacturers is the 25 percent customs tariff imposed on a range of products, including automotive components, as part of the US-China trade war.

An asteroid is heading towards Earth

An asteroid will pass the Earth today! It's the size of a school bus, and NASA scientists have only discovered it a week ago. The asteroid, which should be moving at a distance of about 22,000 kilometers, was named 2020 SW.

But there's nothing to fear: NASA reassures that this is completely normal:

"Small asteroids like 2020 SW approach the Earth several times a year and do not pose a threat."

Besides, experts believe that even if the asteroid was indeed headed for Earth, our atmosphere would probably crush it to pieces.
