Quarantine rules are changing

At yesterday's press conference, the Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch announced fundamental changes in the rules for imposing quarantine.
"People who wear upper respiratory protection will not be quarantined if they meet a positive person who also has a face mask or a respirator."
However, people will need to monitor their health and any symptoms for ten days. Those who have had Covid-19 in the past 90 days and met an infected person will not have to be quarantined either. According to Adam Vojtěch, these individuals already have immunity built up to fight the infection.

After Brexit, the United Kingdom is in a so-called transitional period, when it is bound by EU rules until 31 December. The two parties are therefore seeking to negotiate a new trade agreement, which would enter into force once this period has ended. But the talks stopped. The United Kingdom has therefore prepared a contingency plan. New government law on the internal market.
The aim of this proposal is to ensure a link between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Once the United Kingdom leaves the EU, these regions will have the power to lay down their own rules in areas such as food safety and air quality. However, the current form of the proposal has met with criticism from high ranking individuals of the government Conservative Party and former prime ministers and is in conflict with the agreement on resignation and thus also international law. Chinese economy is slowly recovering from the coronavirus pandemic. The National Statistical Office stated that retail sales increased by 0.5% in August compared to last year. This is the first time that China is in green numbers. Since the beginning of the year, retail sales have fallen by 8.6%.

They found traces of phosphine in the clouds of Venus, which could signal extraterrestrial life. This gas is typically produced by anaerobic microbes on Earth. Scientists attribute the origin of phosphine to unknown photochemistry, geochemistry or life on the planet.

An Israeli court sentenced supermodel and Leonard DiCaprio's ex-wife Bar Refaeli to nine months of community service. Her mother Zipi was sentenced to 16 months in prison. The imposed sentences have brought a conclusion to a several-year lawsuit for tax evasion. Both Bar and Zipi were supposed to withhold millions of dollars in earnings. The couple was also ordered to pay 2.5 million shekels, i.e. a little over 16 million crowns.
