US and Russian representatives will meet in Munich according to Trump

According to US President Donald Trump, US and Russian representatives will meet in Munich today, invitations have been sent to Ukrainians according to the White House chief. However, the advisor to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is skeptical about such a meeting taking place, the website Ceskenoviny.cz reported.

The three-day Munich Security Conference will be attended, among others, by the new US Vice President J.D. Vance, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, high representatives of the European Union and top German politicians. A total of six dozen heads of state and government and over a hundred ministers will arrive at the event. The Czech Republic will be represented by President Petr Pavel and Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.

Trump wants to cut military budgets in half

US President Donald Trump has proposed talks with China and Russia to reduce the nuclear stockpiles of all three countries and to cut their defence budgets by half. Speaking to journalists at the White House on Thursday, Trump said he hopes to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin "once things calm down". Trump stated that there is "no reason" to manufacture new nuclear weapons when the existing arsenal of Washington can destroy the world "100 times over" and public funds could be spent on "other things, which are actually, hopefully, much more productive", as reported by Al Jazeera.

Iran is renewing its missile program, a new supply ship has arrived from China

The first of two vessels carrying a thousand tons of chemicals made in China, which could be a key component of fuel for the Iranian military missile program, docked at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas on Thursday. This is shown by data from ship tracking. Sodium chlorate, which the ship is supposed to transport, helps in the production of propellant, which powers Iran's conventional medium-range missiles. After the destructive and shameful attacks by Israel on key factories that took place last year, Iran's missile production may thus be returning to normal operation, says CNN.

False video was supposed to respond to anti-Semitic remarks by rapper Kanye West

Actress Scarlett Johansson condemned a video made using artificial intelligence that showed her in a t-shirt with her arm outstretched and her middle finger up. The material also included a Jewish star and the name of controversial rapper Kanye West as reported by CNN. The fake video suggested that she was responding to West's latest anti-Semitic remarks and a shirt with a swastika that he was selling on his Yeezy website before it was taken down. Along with other things, the video also featured shots of Lenny Kravitz, Mark Zuckerberg, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Stiller, and Natalie Portman.
