Prosecutor in the USA accuses influencers of accepting money from Russian state media
In Wednesday's charges, it's stated that a media company associated with six conservative influencers including well-known personalities Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson, was secretly funded by employees of Russian state media to produce English-speaking videos, which often "corresponded" to the interests of the Kremlin.
In addition to this being the third presidential election in a row in which US authorities have revealed politically significant details about Russia's attempts to interfere in American politics, the charges suggest how Moscow may try to exploit the skyrocketing popularity of right-wing podcasters, livestreamers and other content creators, who found a successful career on social networks in the years after Trump took office, wrote the AP agency.
Sales to Czech merchants are continuously growing
For the eighth month in a row, sales in the Czech retail sector are growing. The pace of growth month-on-month is rising from June's 3.7% to 4.5% compared to the previous year. Both food and non-food goods recorded a significant increase.
"Czech consumers are returning to stores rather cautiously so far. During this year, i.e. from January to July, the actual sales of stores have grown by 1.5 percent, which cannot really be described as a shopping fever,"
The trend was evaluated by Vít Hradil, the chief economist of the company Cyrrus for ČTK.
