History is being written in Myanmar, where the army took power and overthrew the ruling party. It's also busy in the United States, where Republicans are constantly beating up with new President Joe Biden. This time because of coronavirus. And did you know which Slovak Jennifer Aniston publicly supported?

Rising tensions in the world's 24th most populous country culminated in a coup. A few hours ago in Myanmar, South Asia, representatives of the governing party were arrested, among them state adviser Aung San Suu Kyi, who had met with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš during her state visit to the Czech Republic two years ago. The army handed over power over the 55-million-country to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Min Aung Hlaing. In a speech on military television, Myawaddy TV, military officials said they had done so in response to election fraud. A state of emergency has been declared.

"State Adviser Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and some other leading figures are being held in the capital, Naypyidaw. The military seems to be taking control of the capital now,"

confirmed Myo Nyunt, a spokesman for the National League for Democracy (NLD).

Eighty-eight-year-old US President Joe Biden never seems to stop and take a breath. In recent days, he has cancelled arms contracts with Saudi Arabia, banned federal cooperation with private prisons, or signed an executive order that should completely reboot the US power industry and achieve its emission-free targets by 2050. The number of steps he has made in a completely opposite direction to Donald Trump's ideas irritate Republican politicians. Ten Republican senators have now started picking on Biden's "Covid package." The aid should amount to 1.9 trillion dollars (more than 40 trillion crowns). However, Republican senators are demanding a significant cut in the package, which would mean assistance in the maximum amount of $ 600 billion (12.8 trillion Czech crowns). Biden has already stated he would like to meet with the lawmakers this week. Nevertheless, he insists on comprehensive and extensive financial assistance.

"With the virus posing a grave threat to the country, and economic conditions grim for so many, the need for action is urgent, and the scale of what must be done is large,"

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement.

Elon Reeve Musk has been experiencing a rocket rise in recent months. His assets are currently estimated at more than 209 billion US dollars (4.5 trillion Czech crowns). When Musk added the hashtag Bitcoin to his Twitter a few days ago, its value increased by 150 thousand Czech crowns in an hour. Now it's the creators of the new social network Clubhouse, about which we wrote an article last week, who can jump for joy. A few hours ago, Elon Musk created an account there, and he has already collected more than 65,000 followers. This number is sure to grow exponentially, because the richest man in the world immediately announced that he would be active on the social network and was planning to talk to his fans in the next few hours.

"Lucky is the man who never lacked humor."
