Prague is in for more sports

The City of Prague is preparing a strategic plan that should bring the city closer to sports metropolises. Its goal is to prepare a solution for public support in the field of sport, which will ensure the effective construction of sports grounds and the distribution of funds until 2032. These have increased by 51.4% to 845 million crowns in the last five years. Approximately 500 million crowns went to Prague sports organizations. Despite this fact, more than half of them feel threatened by the current level of financial support. Sports clubs and physical education units, as well as schools and the residents themselves, are therefore being involved in the preparation of the plan through an online questionnaire. More than 1,400 citizens have already shared their proposals.

You too can participate in the questionnaire survey and express your needs or preferences via the Prague Sports website. The surwey runs until mid-September, and the Sport and Sports Facilities Development Plan itself is expected to enter into force next year. Go, sports!
