This is precisely what Vizovice-based KOMA does, delivering its luxurious containers or if you wish, modules, to the market for the past 20 years. In the meantime, it does not focus only on the Czech market, but has its network also in America, Asia and Europe.
The company focuses on the various ways of use of these building cells. KOMA Space is based in Austria, focusing on the creation of temporary accommodation for people from war zones or areas affected by catastrophes. KOMA Rent in Prague 10 is devoted to rental of accommodation and sanitary modules.
The luxurious offshoot of its endeavours was also the pavilion Expo 2015 in Milan, created by the team of architects, Chybik+Krištof Associated Architect, focusing as it does also on sensitivity to the environment. This was the main theme of the Expo 2015 fair. In the same year the company received the award Company of the Year.
These are luxury low-energy modular houses offering many advantages. They are mobile, saving time and money. And most importantly: they are environmentally friendly! This type of high-standard housing offers ecological and economic ways of heating, minimising thermal bridges. They satisfy the most demanding requirements of luxury living. But they may also be utilised for public use - e.g. the Teddy Bear Nursery is proof of this.
Currently the company has launched a new container in the market of KOMA City type. What are the goals? This again is a fresh presentation of the current creative passion of the Chybik+Krištof Associated Architect firm. It is a spade-shaped module, patented in Vizovice, offering new possibilities of use, for example as part of municipal facility it may serve as an area for relaxation, organisation of cultural events and festivals.
In 2017 the company introduced its luxury modular house for Czech Television at the Film Festival in Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary).
