The Lasvit brand preserves the one-thousand-year history of Czech glassworks. The works are art are designed to tell a certain story. Some items are custom made, such as the light of blown glass and crystal, which add a touch of real luxury to any interior. Although we can see the work of these masters even in our country, most of the production is destined for markets in the Middle East Asia, Europe and North America.
The company was established in 2007 by Leon Jakimič. The name Lasvit was created by combining two Czech words: láska (love) and svit (light). Yet apart from this combination, the founder wanted the name to express a positive, emotional approach to the company and the value of the materials it works with.
The annual awards ceremony of the Czech Film and Television Academy, the Czech Lion, cannot make do without a proper award trophy. The company has plenty of experience in this field as well. It designed the trophies for this unique event in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
We were also delighted when the company created a trophy for the Czech medallist from the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which were designed by biathlonist Gabriela Koukalová. Lasvit can also boast the production of the crystal trophy for the winner of the most famous cycling race Tour de France, and the award for the prestigious Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
If we were to go back a few years in time to 2009, Lasvit was awarded an exceptional luxury contract to beautify two stations of the Dubai metro with its glass installations. And in 2011, a light installation by the Lasvit brand was installed at the luxurious looking Etihad Towers hotel in Abu Dhabi.
