This year’s prestigious fair dedicated to men’s clothing and the current style of living took place from 8.1 – 11.1.2019. Artists from all over the world, including Portugal, France or Korea set foot in the fort of Forezza da Basso, and displayed a variety of hot trends, but even wild curiosities!
1) The window view into portuguese fashion was made possible to visitors by the Guest National Portugal exhibition. It unveiled elegant and trendy items in the form of luxury leather ankle footwear, chic jackets and jumpers, or even sunglasses.
2) just as last year, even this year, the Korean brand Beyond Closet caught our attention. Her work is playful, funny and also stylish at the same time. What will be the hottest trend according to the brand? Chequred motifs and wild tops. Best when with a motif of a four-legged furry pet!
3) Perfect manly outfits brimming with elegance and energy! Such items were presented to the audience by the italian designer Aldo Maria Camillo. We were greatly impressed by the perfectly tailored coats and jackets.
1) Streetwear fashion of the brand Haculla mirrors the work of the present day Venezuelan painter Harif Guzman. Haculla armed his models with, apart from the extravagant outfits, black facial lines and mysterious gazes. They were intimidating!
2) The exhibition of the Y/Project was a dazzling show of a number of luxury, women‘s outfits, which were truly a feast for the eyes. The men’s section, however offered strange oversize items, which were as if they’d come out of the legendary 90’s. These clothes have a definite ban from us.
3) Also ranking in the top 3x NOT is the above-mentioned Aldo Maria Camillo. While we have no objections to the elegant clothes, the outfits decorated with the animal motifs are a horrific repellent. A similar element simply belongs in the wardrobes of women.
The fair is a platform, which exhibits the creative work of young designers, and is a luxury display of an original mix of brands. Every year includes all the trends, which will have unfolded in the coming 6 months. So if you want to go with the times and be among the first ones to know about hot new fashion trends, don’t miss out on the upcoming 96th yearly Pitto Immagine Uomo, which will take place from the 11 – 14.6.2019.
The first month of the new year isn’t over and already many things have happened in the field of fashion. One of the best events took place in Florence. And it is necessary to say, that the 95th year Pitti Immagine Uomo presented more chic fashion than the London Fashion Week itself!
I was very pleasantly surprised by the brand Beyond Closet. It managed to combine the current style with the one 100 years ago. In other words, long live the new age Gatsby! My absolute favourite is obvious, the chequered pants, white shirt, a classic tennis white sweater, a warm jacket softened with wool. That’s what I call a fashion idea!!! For work, or a trip, or a date and possibly for a Sunday lunch to your granny.
Following we have the collection by Aldo Maria Camillo. This collection seems quite featureless and dull. If you look at the classic cut of the pants in combination with classic jackets, coats etc., you think “yes this is good”. It doesn’t knock any trends, all in all it’s fine… But five minutes later, you can’t rememer a single detail. And that is precisely the reason, why I wouldn’t buy anything from Aldo. #BORING!
And we’re at the finale, in the form of oversize jackets and coats by Y/Project. Many of you are surely able to imagine the a bit oversized jackets from the 90’s. The Y/Project took it too a new level. These clothes are so large, that the trio “Maxim Turbulenc” would get lost in them, and that’s something that you don’t want to see around.
