This year the Salvatore Ferragamo fashion house has perpared for its clients three collection at the same time! It was a great surprise when it became clear that one of them is rainbow-coloured (Catch the Rainbow), the second is in the spirit of great travels - full of exotic designs (Prints for Every Season) and the third is just a touch mundane black and white classic (Black & White World).
The luxury brand has decided to go against the current; is it a success?!
What´s happened to Christmas?
The Holiday 2018 is certainly a breath of fresh air among all the others. But we cannot shake off the impression that the notional charm is simply missing. Our Luxury Prague Life editorial thinks that when it´s Christmas then it should come with all that goes with it! But let´s have a look with what the luxury brand certainly succeeded.
Inspiration by all things exotic
What to us hit the bull´s eye is the collection of Prints for Every Season, which consists of luxurious silk scarves of flower and oriental patterns, handbags or sleeveless pleated dresses with shoulder straps. These accessories will beautifully liven up any outfit, regardless of the season and the clothes are just divine! A similar piece should be in the wardrobe of every aficionado of the boho style.

On the other hand, the Rainbow collection caused less excitement. The ballerina pumps as well as the handbag looks quite infantile. If you want to go against the current this year, look at the other of the two remaining collections. Black and white is a timeless classic and Prints for Every Season? Luxury without any reservations!

I must say that I have not been as excited about a Christmas collection as the one by Salvatore Ferragamo for a long time.
The Burberry or Holiday collections have nothing on this! A rainbow, deluxe parrots, and, in particular, a joke in the form of ballerinas for winter. Perfect!
One of my top favorites is the "Midi Dress" (52,900 CZK), which is made of the most luxurious silk. It is airy, elegant and with it‘s "Sumatra" motif of Ferragamo scarves it shouts out to the world, "Viva Italia"! And where can we wear such a dress? You know what, I'd love them for Christmas Eve. There is nothing better than stuffing your belly with cookies and hiding it under a loose cut!
I also mustn‘t forget the multifunctional super bag "Vara Bow Rainbow" (37,950 CZK), alias the glowing iris on a golden chain. For some it may be childish, but I see a higher intention. You know it too: it's a normal day, at work you are in over your head, a million meetings in the city, cold coffee on the kitchen counter, and I am supposed to choose accessories to go with the dress? And that‘s the point. Whether you have a simple white dress or a pair of jeans with a pink blouse, this handbag will always match! It's like a gift from God, so it definitely belongs to my desired "MUST HAVES".
