Three forms of South African bush

Favourite designer Beata Rajská introduced her new collection Badikwe 2019 in the beautiful premises of Rudolfinum. It is inspired by her stay in South Africa bush and among those who didn’t miss this spectacular show were for example Matyáš Hložek. Jan Kalousek, DJ Lucca, Leona Kvasnicová alias Qaša or Libuše Šmuclerová. Are you awaiting a typical shade of khaki, shorts and straw hats? You are not far from the truth! How does a luxury collection that the designer has divided into three thematic lines looks like?

In the spirit of khaki and exotics

The dominant colour became khaki, which Beata Rajska applied not only to her stylish turtleneck dresses, knitted sweaters, leather skirts, luxury jackets, elegant coats or sportier velvet trousers, but also to an unusual footwear with eccentric applications on the instep. And distinctive accessories and exotic elements blend in with the Badikwe 2019 collection.

Animal claws and immortal waist bags!

Beata Rajska has included a distinctive motif of checks, pythons, zebras, beasts, or animal claws in the collection. These mirror the wildlife of exotic African fauna and decorate, for example, a luxurious collar dress. Stunning motifs add stylish berets, extravagant feather hairstyle applications, immortal waist bags or leather straps complement these motifs.

Evening gowns? Metallic!

The end of the show was in the style of evening gowns, which follow the footsteps of the next season trend – metallic shades! At the end of the evening, Beata Rajská dressed herself in a silver dress with a folded skirt and short sleeves. The silver was accompanied by copper and anthracite, and it was this final part of the show, which caught our eyes the most by its luxurious models.

When Europe is not enough, we are going to Africa!

Fashion designer Beata Rajská is a creative woman with body and soul. This has already been known to us for decades. However, there is never enough inspiration, and when Europe is

"not enough", the artist has to draw elsewhere. This time, the choice has fallen to Africa... Whether it's a clothing suitable for bush, we probably do not have to guess. Beata is a very elegant lady with a refined sense of elegance.

Personally, I was most interested in long khaki dress with metallic strips, reminding me tiger teeth. Combined with an open-tipped ankle boot, a decent claret-brown trendy waist bag (inspired by world-famous fashion houses this season) and finally the ostrich hair clip, it is a very chic model suitable for daily wear on a working day. Seriously original and memorable. Coffee in the hotel Paris is coming...

Then, unfortunately, we have a few dresses with animal motifs: the combination of shorter and longer skirts in one is, in my opinion, a totally overwhelming and, most importantly, out-of-fashion matter. And to tell the truth, even when it was “in” many years ago, I did not like this trend. And to tell the truth, I will not like it in the future either.

The biggest HIT and FLOP from this collection according to Ornella can be found at the beginning of the gallery under the article.
