The past collections were regularly presented by Giorgio Armani at the premises of the Neo-classic Palais De Chaillot, but now the designer decided for a change. The haute couture AW 2018 collection was presented at the Italian Embassy in Paris and when looking at the luxurious interior it is clear that this place was the perfect choice to present the premium elegance of Armani Privé.
While haute couture SS 2018 consisted predominantly of mini dresses and suits of sky-blue colour, the AW 2018 is a parade of neutral tones in combination with bold pink and turquoise. You would be hard-pressed to find a mini skirt here, because the luxury collection of AW 2018 is full maxi volumes and great gowns.
The Paris show was opened up by satin-finish suits in cream and earth tones. Fresh glamour look of the models was also achieved by luxurious tops, which sparkled under the sleek jackets, sophisticated cuts, bold embellishments and accessories. Giorgio Armani presented generous pearl necklaces and bracelets, daring hats and atypically-shaped handbags.
Cutting-edge elegance was soon replaced by a flood of pink, accompanied by turquoise. Ostrich feathers, maxi hats, bold boas and eccentric flower applications and bows added an interesting touch and broke up the monotone concept of the albeit luxurious classy style, which totally took over the pink-cyan extravagance.
The show was also attended by a friend of Prince Harry, the popular French actress, Juliette Binoche

Armani Privé haute couture AW 2018 seemed to me from the very beginning like a collection for Barbie dolls, which I loved so much throughout my childhood. Then a change came in the form of high-end, serious line of elegant models. And truth to tell, I enjoyed that most of all!
The first model that caught my attention was a pink, pleated gown with a wide, velvet plaid, which covered the entire top of the dress. Long diamond earrings as the only accessory created absolute perfection! Another extremely well done piece was a gold-pearl coloured fitted dress, accompanied by a cream-coloured, but translucent, over-the-shoulder plaid. Both of these models are the perfect choice for both an exclusive party or for example a festive, formal dinner for two at a venue overlooking Prague Castle.
It is not only dresses that are the stars of this collection. For normal daily wear I would like to draw attention to the perfectly-cut, black, floor-skimming coat. The cuffs and collar are adorned by luxury velvet: it is simply a jewel, which I would certainly like to enjoy having in my wardrobe - from autumn to spring!
