Work from various directions of design will be presented by hundreds of Czech and foreign designers. Even though the epicenter of the event will be the Congress Center building, more than 20 partner Design Store will be involved in the project in the center of our capital.

Collaboration with Milan Design Week

This year, Czech Design Week has teamed up with the producers of Milan designer week and the result of the collaboration is the introduction of unique exhibitions by thirty foreign designers. The luxurious works will be transported by several trucks to the Prague festival celebrating contemporary design.

The congress center was not chosen by chance

Festival director Lukáš Pipek revealed why this space was chosen:

"Czechoslovakia commemorates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the republic, and few people, for example, know that there was an intensive discussion in 1989 about the organization of the first free Czechoslovak government, the republic, and also the form of the first free elections since November 1989."

The congress center is continuously home to wonderful works by prominent Czech artists and designers. You can admire the luxury glass jewelry “Woman with a Dove” from glass-making duo Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, art by the painter Cyril Bouda, the academic sculptor František Vízner or the glass artist František Procházka. It is therefore a more than good place to present unique Czech and global design pieces.
