AmfAR Gala Cannes 2019: Lima bet on sensuality, Kurková on subtlety
Another year has passed and stars met up once again at the luxurious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes in France, in order to raise money for research programs focused on fighting AIDS as part of the AmfAR Gala Cannes. How did the members of the fair sex look on the red carpet this time?

Adriana Lima and Sara Sampaio triumphed in black
The Victoria's Secret Angels proved that it's possible to shine in all black! Adriana looked breathtaking in a sensual dress by Ester Abner and Sara Sampaio did as well, in a luxurious gown by Giorgio Armani Privé decorated with feathers. We couldd keep looking at them forever without getting bored - beautiful!
Karolína Kurková and Elsa Hosk: The price of subtlety
Karolína Kurková and the Swedish model Elsa Hosk both went for romantic white. The Czech supermodel arrived at the event in a gown by the Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst, and this minimalistic piece with off-the-shoulder sleeves fit her perfectly. We're already looking forward to seeing how good Karolína will look in Prague as the host of Social Global Awards. She takes the mic next week on 5/29 - this Czech beauty shows no signs of stopping!
On the other hand, Elsa went for a luxurious mini-dress by Redemption that revealed her secret weapon - legs that go on forever!
Chiara Ferragni, Kendall Jenner: When two people do the same thing...
Both beauties donned dresses by Giambattista Valli, each of them with a different result, though. While Kendall Jenner looks cute and sensual at the same time in her pink dress à la piece of candy, Chiara looks like she's wearing a tulle nightgown. On top of all that we must praise Kendall's perfect make-up and hair.
Eva Longoria à la ice queen
Just like at the opening night of the Cannes film festival, Eva chose to wear a gown by Albert Ferretti. However, in the model she went for, she looks like an ice queen. The unsuitable make-up and hair may have contributed to that.
Dua Lipa, Rebel Wilson: An unlucky choice of dress

Adriana Lima, the beast of the night
For me, the absolute sexiest woman that night was Adriana. Her dress by the Russian designer Ester Abner was truly luscious in its rendition. Most of all I loved the detail on the corset, supporting her sizable bosom perfectly. But that wouldn't be worth much without Adriana's ultra sensual gaze that could "kill an eagle right in the sky". Simply gorgeous!

Sara Sampaio, the black swan
On the other hand, the most elegant gown belongs to the Portuguese top model Sara. The black classic by Armani Privé topped with luxurious feathers.. it's really like something out of a fairy tale! You have to notice the simplicity, too. Classic red lipstick, subtle eyeliner and diamond earrings. You don't need anything else. It's really refreshing to see an outfit that isn't too busy.

Marina Ruy Barbosa, the little mermaid
The Brazilian actress Marina perfectly embodied my mental image of a mermaid on land. To tell the truth, I was quite shocked when I learned that this gown was made by Vivienne Westwood, who as of late mostly produces pretty outlandish stuff without much sense to it. But this is eye candy for real!

Karolína Kurková, the poor cousin
I'm sorry, but Karolína's outfit was just a total miss for me. There's beauty in simplicity, sure, but this white Gabriel Harst dress is like something you'd wear to a hotel breakfast at 9 am...
