French fashion designer Alexandre Vauthier is among the recognised world fashion designers, and at Couture Week he presented beautiful, elegant and yet luxurious and daring fashion.
French fashion designer Alexandre Vauthier surprised audiences with his luxurious collection, which exceeded all expectations. The designer played with animal prints, exceptional striking elements and beautiful fabrics. We like the fact that his garments are lively and feature something special that tempts and attracts you. The start of the show was light, with an elegant spirit. The models wore clothing made of shiny materials and a large, unmistakable belt which perfectly highlighted the female silhouette. But everybody is used to Alexandre’s love for pumped up outfits, and he didn’t disappoint this time around either.
The show started light, but later transformed into an incredibly lively show. Models in extravagant outfits started appearing on the catwalk – gowns with delicate features, animal patterns which must awaken the inner animal in anybody just by looking at the luxurious gowns. The frocks boasted heaps of interesting embellishments, which belong to highly extravagant fashion.
If there was ever anything perfectly matched, it’s luxury footwear from the amazing designer Amina Muaddi. She is entirely blown away by his ideas.
“Alex is a master of ideas and it’s amazing when his imagination becomes reality.”
They both took particular care to make sure everything matches at the show. Every luxurious outfit had a pair of matching shoes, which perfectly underscored the beauty of the garments. The resulting look was perfect! One could choose from various embellished sandals or standout boots, which had interesting pleats.
French designer Alexandre Vauthier truly managed to combine classic elegance with a touch of Spain in his Haute Couture collection. I was thrilled from the outset by the Cordovan hats, so typical for Spain. As far as hats are concerns, I think they should come back in fashion as soon as possible!
I really like the entirely white outfit, with wide officer’s breeches, the jacket with gold buttons, white shirt with a black necktie, black boots and the aforementioned black Cordovan hat. It’s like a breeze of feminism at the end of the 19th Century. You could wear something like that to a prestigious horse race, both the Grand National in Liverpool and doubtless to our Velká pardubická steeplechase. And believe me, you’d really stand out in something like that!
I was also enchanted by the elongated jacket, which was transformed into a highly elegant dress complemented by a wide black belt. The low neckline and shoulder pads make an instant VAMP out of any woman. What’s more, we see that after a hundred years, we can finally pair a light dress with dark tights again… that’s big news!
