At the occasion of celebration of the luxurious, 50-year jubilee of partnership of Nissan GT-R and the design and engineering specialist, Italdesign, the Japanese car manufacturer came up to the European one with a requirement of a prototype car design, GTR-50. Paradoxically, this version was designed and developed by Italdesign, and the exterior and interior comes from the hands of Nissan Design America and Nissan Design Europe in London, based on initial drawings of model 2018 GT-R Nismo.
Under the bonnet there is a 3.8-litre V6 two-stroke engine with enhancements from Nismo division, building on experience with Nissan GT3. For example, it was equipped by GT3 turbochargers of a large diameter and larger intercoolers or high-flow piston oil jets and other technical innovations. The vehicle is designed to reach 710 hp at 7,100 rpm / min.
The luxury car contains many special features. We can mention for example headlights made of multiple LED strips. The bonnet has a very elegant design indeed. Your attention is sure to be attracted by its gold colour, which covers almost the entire width of the car and stands in contrast to its dark features. The tires of this super car come from the Michelin stable, Pilot Super Sports.
The striking exterior and interior designs were taken care of by a team of the Nissan design centre in London and San Diego. For your comfort it boasts upholstery in fine smooth Italian leather of black colour. There are strakes moulded into the surface and the pop-up rear wing completes the general appearance. The grey finish of the exterior goes perfectly with the gold accents. The steering wheel of the GT-R50 is custom-made of carbon fibres and decorated with Alcantara, which is a fleece of ultra-fine bi-component fibres of suede feel.
This luxury car is only a prototype, but if all goes well, its initial price will be approximately EUR 900,000.
