The 20th Year of Designblok is to be Carried in the Spirit of a Grand Design Celebration

One piece of interest from the world of Desigblok and what you really must not miss out:

• The 20th season will newly be held, in addition to the luxury Industrial Palace and the Lapidarium at Holešovice Exhibition Grounds, also at the Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace.
   

• The theme of this year is CELEBRATION and these are all concerning beautiful round numbers. Designblok celebrates 20 years and the Czech Republic is celebrating a 100-year jubilee of creation of an independent state.
   

• The first year of Desigblok had 14 participants from among designers and artists. The initial years took place in individual galleries and showrooms. Today it is all completely different. It is an event that cannot be missed by the most exclusive of designers, as well as the general public. Only to give you an idea, the last year was notable for luxury record numbers: it was participated upon by incredible 304 exhibitors from 13 countries.

• The visual design of the 20th year captures a pair of cyclists on a tandem bike. It combines symbolism of continuous forward movement, commitment to and the need of empathy, mutual understanding, but also joy from the ride, as well as hard work, often enriched by acrobatic feats.
   

• Studio deForm, behind which stand Jakub Pollág together with Václav Mlynář, may be seen this year at a profile exhibition, Manifest, held at the Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace. They are creative directors of the Bomma brand, a design stellar, just like their product and interior design creations. They became designers of 2016 at Czech Grand Design.
   

• There will be some fashion to be seen there, too. The Czech BRO brand will acquaint you with what life between stitches is like. Its promoter, Liběna Rochová, a notable personality of Czech fashion, is to present clothing art presentation, Touches, in cooperation with Musa for DEBRA CZECH REPUBLIC. The Designblok 2018 will be full fashion shows! Three days, three blocks, thirty fashion designers and two clothing presentations.
   

• The Artglass brand produces Czech crystal lights and atypical bespoke chandeliers to order. Its luxurious lighting devices by Delta Light King, inspired by punk style will brighten the premises of the Exhibition Grounds.
