World Fashion Weeks in Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai revealed new hot Asian trends!

1) Tweed boots and down leg warmers

Luxury tweed boots are a must have a piece that should be found in every shoe cabinet in the FW19 season. On the contrary, we give a red light to the down leg warmers that were presented in Seoul by the BESFXXK brand, and we’re begging you: "Cut them a wide berth!"

2) Animal prints

An old time favorite, the animal print, returns to the limelight. Look for inspiration in brands such as ROMANCHIC or DEW W DEW E.

3) Plaid pattern everywhere

Plaid is an absolute hit with both women and men during the FW19 season. We like the take of the brands BOURIE, WISHARAWISH or CINOH.

4) Denim in all possible forms

This fabric never goes out of fashion; it appears in all imaginable forms. If you want to follow the trends, get a luxury skirt, trousers, dress, overalls or a vest.

5) Show your underwear

In Asia, they’re not afraid to boldly reveal feminine curves. Doesn’t matter that you’ll end up looking both dressed and undressed... So many countries, so many customs - the JENNY FAX brand is a clear proof!

6) Neoprene

The legendary neoprene, previously introduced by Louis Vuitton, for instance, has returned to the catwalk thanks to the ha-ha brand.

7) French chic

Bless ROMANCHIC and YUKI TOORI for their French chic! One almost wouldn’t believe we're still looking at luxury pieces from Asia, not stylish France.

8) Divine minimalism

Beautiful minimalism could be found particularly in the collections of BLANC DE NOIRS or YCH.

9) Plastic bottles, plexi glass and other hair accessories

The brand FUKUSHIMA PRIDE BY JUNKO KOSHINO presented ecological thinking at the fashion weeks. They turned plastic bottles and plexi glass into stylish hair accessories.

10) Fashion from beyond the grave

"The icing on the cake" is macabre fashion from the grave. If you want to give someone a scare, go for a ton of hair gel and one of the black robes by MOHO!

Asian fashion has always been different...

There were many Japanese girls at the American International School I went to, and they always had their own fashion style. One day they would come dressed as Hello Kitty cartoon characters, only to adopt the gloomy look of Samara from "The Ring" (2002) the next day. Maybe that's why I tend to expect more craziness than I should from Asian fashion…

First of all, I would like to mention DEW W DEW E's out-of-this-world creations. The young generation of Asians is not the slightest bit ashamed to wear these in the streets. There’s some kind of internal resistance in them that can be defined as a rebellion against conservatism from the past. This kind of revolt goes beyond me, and all I can do is stare and snicker.

But then we’re in for a huge shock! Elegance with the hallmark of luxury from YCH. For me, the brand is like an Asian Burberry that successfully attacks the Western market. I find it enjoyable and appreciate the immaculate sense of detail. A green jacket with a turtleneck dress? A perfect combination for the fall!
