The Prague mayor and Leoš Mareš's wife also showed up
Zoltán Tóth introduced his new SS20 collection accompanied by live music and the divine sound of violins. Thus he didn't just provide a luxurious fashion show for the guests, but also a musical concert. Among the people who wouldn't miss the show were the Prague mayor Zdeněk Hřib, or the reporter and Leoš Mareš's wife, Monika Marešová.
The SS20 collection is going the way of gentle feminine elegance and ethereal beauty. It's dominated by airy cuts, lively colors, luxurious materials and precise tailoring. So you won't see anything controversial or extravagant, save some small exceptions.
Dresses that will make you look like a cleaning lady or giant bubble gum
The only two things that could be considered wild ideas and missteps at the same time are the black and pink dresses, which Zoltán Tóth paired up with very bizarre looking gloves. They probably aren't supposed to, but they sure do look like the model has just run off from cleaning. Not like this, please! On top of that, if you put on the pink one, you're gonna look like a giant bunched up piece of bubble gum in it.

Zoltán Tóth introduced a whole range of models at Invalidovna that we'd kill for. But there is still our TOP 5 that we can't take our eyes off!
We fell in love with this dark blue dress with a turtleneck and delicate strap sandals immediately. Pity about the sci-fi glasses.

The breast area will need a lot of adjusting so that you don't cause a faux pas right upon arrival, but if it does by chance happen to you, you'll at least look like a total femme fatale.

The shirt with a bow around the throat is absolutely perfect! You can wear it with pants just as well as a skirt and you'll look like a star in both cases.

I don't know why, but Zoltán Tóth's fashion show has left me a little bit disillusioned. This young and promising hunk from Slovakia won the junior competition at the spring edition of fashion week. Thanks to that he's taking part in the autumn one. I expected a comprehensive image of a mature designer. But the resulting show has left me feeling like he can't quite decide yet whether he's gay or hetero.
Disjointedness or brilliance?
On one side there are perfect materials and obviously brilliant tailoring, on the other side I sense disjointedness. "The overall inspiration lay in memories, memories of our past in dressing, traditions and things that characterize particular periods of the 20th century," said Tóth about his collection.
But I'm not quite sure whether women in the last century walked around with nothing but a bow across their breasts... Good for modern times, I'd wear it to a dinner with my boyfriend and imagine how he'd unwrap me after the meal like the most precious present, but back then? I doubt it.

On one side there are the perfect contours of the dress that you would have no problem wearing to work or to a party. Beautiful airy dress that accentuates your best parts but hides the worst ones. I've always loved oversize dresses for my own selfish personal reasons. On the other side a model that I wouldn't have worn even ten years ago, when I proudly showed off my heaving bosom at just about any public pool. And gloves that I use for cleaning the toilet to go with it? No thank you.

Zoltán, grow up!
On the third side, menswear. I find that cool. When I'm in the mood, I do feel like a man, and having this model in my closet, I'd definitely act the part with adequate pride. Zoltán Tóth is definitely a good student to his renowned teachers, but I'd give him a few more years for unrestrained creativity. I'll buy something after that.
