V Riegerových sadech je dokonalý výhled na celou Prahu.

We love food. We love luxury food and we love new experiences that push gastronomy literally beyond the limits. Not only does this dining guarantee great food, but it is also an experience to be remembered for the rest of one's life. We will gladly recommend this excellent adventure to our reader! You can experience Dinner in the sky first hand in September in Prague.

Same as in the previous years, Dinner in the Clouds will be located in the Riegrovy sady park in Vinohrady, offering a magnificent view of the historic city center. It will take place on not one but three weekend dates! Hurry up and make your reservations as soon as possible, because this kind of dining is becoming more and more popular all over the world.

A Michelin Chef

The new menu was prepared by one of the most talented Portuguese chefs, Manuel Lino, who is currently a master chef in the ambitious Prague restaurant Gallery 44. He will start with serving Dashi, a famous Japanese broth, complemented with shrimp, leeks and olives. This will be followed by grilled carrots with quinoa and beef entrecote with roasted chestnuts and marrow. The last course will be a dessert in the form of ice cream with balsamic and beetroot meringue. A vegetarian version of the menu is also available, where shrimp is replaced by feta cheese and grilled aubergine is served instead of steak.

Safety first

Given the distance that separates the guests from the ground below, it is necessary to pay extra attention to safety. That is ensured by six-point belts, with experienced stuff buckling the clients in. The guests cannot unfasten the belts themselves. When everyone is ready, the platform slowly moves up. "Upon entering the clouds, a safety technician is always present, in case an unexpected situation would occur," said Pavel Šperger, the organizer of the event.

Urgent matters

It is natural to wonder what would happen, if one of the guests needed to go to the toilet. Of course, those are provdided for the gourmets on the ground, so make sure to go before the event.

“The longest package is sixty minutes long, so everyone should be fine. Of course, there can be an urgent problem, in which case the security technician gives the order and the platform will descend,” Šperger explained.

Stars love luxury in the clouds

The whole concept of Dinner in the Clouds was born in Belgium in 2006. Nowadays, it has already taken root in 40 countries and tens of thousands of guests have attended. One of the Dinner in the Sky regulars is the Prince of Monaco, Albert, with his wife, or the Prince of Dubai. Karel Gott, Gabriela and Petr Koukal, Aleš Háma and dozens of other celebrities have already tried out the Prague version of this extraordinary attraction.

Ain't nothing free in this world

Food in the air certainly costs a little more than that down here. However, the guests will have a great advantage in Prague - compared to other European capitals, our local Dinner in the Clouds is the most affordable. Just to give you an idea - lunch starts at 1,740 crowns and a regular dinner will cost upwards of 3120 crowns, while dinner at sunset costs 3,795 crowns. So, what do you say? Would you like to try dining in the clouds, or do you prefer to stay with both your feet and your wallet firmly on the ground?
