Extravagant Alta Moda show by Dolce & Gabbana near Lake Como
This year’s Alta Moda show was as luxurious as ever. Nothing else would have been possible in the stunning villa with an incredible view of Lake Como. The bewitching garden in which the entire show took place was like something from a fairy tale, with a breath-taking fountain that augmented the romantic atmosphere even more.

Nature, champagne and romantic candles
The setting which the designers from luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana chose for the Alta Moda presentation perfectly matches the brand’s overall profile. The luxurious old stone villa with a magnificent garden overflowing with vegetation, a charming fountain and statues, is as grandiose as the luxury brand’s clothing. The entire show had a romantic spirit, underscored by a sunset dinner where the tables were lit with hundreds of candles and guests sipped on champagne.

Everybody is always curious to find out what Dolce & Gabbana will present in Alta Moda. It is always a huge surprise, which delights every fashion-loving eye. Just the sight of the romantic villa encouraged guests to look forward to something exclusive, and that’s what happened. Alta Moda presented sugary, romantic and fluffy dresses suitable for princesses. In addition to the gorgeously embellished flower dresses with various appliques and combinations, the famous models also wore floral hats, headbands and other accessories. The stars of the show included ageless chocolate beauty queen Naomi Campbell, Lady Kitty Spencer, Ashley Graham and Helena Christensen. We like the fact that models of age categories and sizes appeared on the catwalk.
Flowers wherever you look
As we mentioned, the luxurious Alta Moda garments were embellished with beautiful flowers and looked like a gorgeous garden in bloom. The designers also paid close attention to the other details. We especially liked the flowery umbrella, which was made of live blossoms, as were the beautiful headbands and hats, which are an unmistakable part of Alta Moda.

And whose else could it be, if it was held in one of the nicest places in Italy? Dolce & Gabbana simply know how to play with the human imagination and I take my HAT OFF to them to the greatest possible extent!
And the most beautiful dress? Definitely the sumptuous fluffy off-shoulder gown with flowers as far as the eye could see. And the adorable parasol made of live flowers!!!! Delicious! There is probably no real opportunity to wear something like that… But it’s perfect for a party at Lake Como!
A big surprise of the evening was our compatriot and top model (who is actually a real top model, and doesn’t just call herself one like some of the outdated models here at home) Eva Herzigová. She was dressed like a member of the French nobility of the 18th Century. Cute but provocative at the same time. Overall, this is what the perfect fashion show looks like by my books!
