The creative director of the Dior fashion house, Maria Grazia Chiuri, presented the Cruise 2020 collection in exotic Marrakech. Having watched this show, we are convinced she couldn't have picked a better place!
It took place shortly after sunset on Monday, April 29, in the ruins of El Badi Palace, where ancient dynasties and rulers of the country used to dwell. Models were walking along the water tank dotted with dozens of candles. The show was attended by 800 visitors, famous celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Diana Ross among them, as can be expected of Dior.
The creative director of Dior collaborated on the luxurious collection full of exotic prints with several African designers, making it a perfect mix of African traditional culture and modern European style. This collection is a celebration of globalization. If you are looking for ethnic elements and exoticism in fashion, the Dior Cruise 2020 is just the thing for you!
Over 100 models were presented at the show, featuring luxurious long summer dresses with colorful prints, black evening robes, romantic white lace dresses, printed shirts and wide pants.
The most prominent material used in creating the collection comes from the Uniwax factory in Côte d'Ivoire, one of the last places in the world to produce handmade fabrics. Their history was originally influenced by the Indonesian batik, which had been brought to Europe by Dutch merchants and eventually adopted by the countries of West Africa in the 19th century.
Let yourself be carried away by the beauty of exotic models and trust that the clothes of this collection will forever be a unique jewel in your closet.
The "Game of Thrones" phenomenon brought us more than the usual dose of excitement and drama in the last few days, and the Dior fashion house didn’t want to be left behind... Once again, it caused a real explosion in the field of fashion! There’s definitely something about the Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri…
The whole collection is carried in exotic spirit, representing a border between Italy and Morocco - the location of this fashion show is certainly no coincidence. So what trends are being set? Flowing cuts, rich and colorful decoration, but also a light touch of antiquity from the time of Great Rome. My favorite? The long evening dress with a round heron motif on the chest. It's a majestic look, but at the same time one you can enjoy an exciting night until the morning while wearing it!
Last but not least, I must not forget the white lace BOHO dress! A major style in Ibiza since the 1970s, it doesn’t lack any of its former glory today. In short, a timeless investment that will never go out of fashion! In addition, the wearer's age limit is practically nonexistent… Think you could find this anywhere else?
