St. Valentine‘s day is a celebration of love, and therefore this year’s ball will be conceived in the spirit of love. And that is also how the actor Martin Dejdar sees it, and won’t be missing at the wonderful ball 16th February. Not only will he host the Czechoslovakian ball alongside Lucie Barmošová, but he’s also looking forward to dancing with his wife, who is herself a former dancer.
He will take the opportunity of this social event to spend a lovely evening with his wife, who he sees less often over the year.
The organizers revealed, that it will be the ‘most romantic ball in our ball history’. The Czechoslovakian ball 2019 will be opened by the Balet of the National theatre Brno with its dance number from the balet performance Romeo and Julia by Sergej Prokofjev.
Every year, visitors can look forward to a singing legend, and this year the honour fell to the singer Hana Zagorová, who is lately having problems with back pain, so hopefully she won’t have to change her plans.
‘Last year I had to cancel my performance in the premiere of the Broadway theatre, due to having local injections done to back. Fortunately, I‘m feeling better now, so I believe, that we‘ll successfully meet at the beautiful venue, such as the Obecní dům (municipal house),‘ disclosed the singer, whose performance will be accompanied by the popular Boom!Band of Jiří Dvořák, and she will also perform alongside another musical legend, Peter Rezek. With his help, she’s planning on singing such indelible duets such as ‘Duhová Víla‘ (Rainbow fairy), or ‘Ta pusa je tvá‘ (The kiss is yours).
As is in the title, this is a an international ball, and there will also be performers from Slovakia. Such as the band No Name, which is the most popular Slovakian band in the Czech Republic, and every year it gains many Czech awards for its popularity.
