Feminine, refined and absolutely stunning - that's the latest collection from the Lebanese fashion genius and designer Zuhair Murad. With his haute couture AW19/20 models, he once again proves that he's a man in the right place and perfectly understands women!
Seeing the fashion gems that Zuhair Murad presented in Paris, we feel like throwing out half of our closet right now in order to make some space for all those beautiful gowns of luxury taffeta, satin, lurex, jacquard or feathers.
The Haute couture AW19/20 exudes a bohemian aura and incorporates elements of North Africa. That's where Zuhair Murad decided to draw inspiration from. At the Paris Fashion Week, he introduced trendy turban-like headbands, as well as maxi and mini dresses adorned with an exotic paisley pattern or a Moroccan carpet motif.
The collection also features an innovated version of the djellaba, Berber forwmal wear popular in Morocco. How does Zuhair Murad's version of this robe look like? It as been upgraded with transparent fabrics and a deep neckline!
In addition to the aforementioned traditional ethnic references, the collection includes luxurious gowns with sinfully high slits, bodycon cuts, deep necklines and sensual cutouts that will make many hearts - both women's and men's - beat faster.
If you want to visit Africa as envisioned by Zuhair Murad at least in your thoughts, take a look at the photos in our gallery. Otherwise, head straight for the boutique and make your credit card cry bitter tears - this time it will be worth it!
If there's anything I can say with absolute certainty, it is that when it comes to Zuhair Murad collections, they will never disappoint me. This is especially true, if it is a collection inspired by the bohemian style! So, ladies and gentlemen, hold your wallets, it's gonna be a fast ride!
One of the newly established trends taken from the medieaval times are long sleeves all the way to the ground. Finally, somebody brought them back! Not only are they absolutely spectacular, but, moreover, they make any woman's arms look so much slimmer! That's why the almost transparent dress quilted with silver crystals forming various ornaments, with sleeves all the way to the ground, moreover decorated with ostrich feathers, belongs to my absolute favorites! So, if you're looking for a completely unforgettable model, this is the one!
Last but not least, I must not forget the mini version of a Berber dress combined with sexy black boots and a dark turban. An ideal model not only for summer music festivals. As you can seen, Zuhair needs very little to conjure up something divine! Bravo!
