The winter trail is a place where fairy tale meets fantasy. Deluxe flowers proudly grow tall towards the night sky and lead you along the path to the illuminated tree statues with small lights on each branch.
This year the mysterious trail promises over a million lights and 30 magical nights. You will also find many surprises here, but you have to look carefully so that nothing escapes your attention. Attractively sparkling snowflakes, stars, marching reindeer and gingerbread men will appear when you least expect it. And you will also see Santa and his elves.
“It’s a magical place throughout the entire day and just as unusual at night. Christmas at our botanic garden allows our visitors to enjoy a completely different experience,” Kari Coghill, Director of Business and Communications at the Royal Botanic Garden adds.
The garden has an unusual gem. An installation consisting of 100,000 lights is located next to the cathedral, which is distinguished by its bright lights. The large installation of lights was created by British and international artists.
If you are cold, we recommend that you finish this wonderful deluxe tour with some spiced apple cider, mulled wine or hot chocolate, while the aroma of roast chestnuts fills the air. What more could you wish for?
Take the whole family and explore the Christmas magic of Edinburgh connected to the Royal Botanic Garden. But you have to book your tickets in time.
