The latest Fendi collection reflects the city jungle in which the exotic meets with practicality. It is these elements that Karl Lagerfeld tried to bring into the collection, in which he actually succeeded. The acclaimed fashion designer showcased at the Milan Fashion Week his luxury Spring/Summer collection, which even outperformed the previous one.

The last year's collection of SS18 was dominated by the midi length, which was favoured by Karl Lagerfeld this time round, too. Midi length was seen in case of luxurious pleated skirts, dresses and coats or slim suit trousers. But newly the collection contains racy mini pieces in the form of skirts, shorts, tops and sweaters of a shortened length.
The downside in the form of PVC
The downside of the otherwise luxury SS19 collection is PVC, a material that the German designer decided to apply into the collection, and not in negligent quantities. Plastic "embellished" for instance overcoats, jackets or pencil skirts. At a time when ecological fashion is so feverishly discussed, delicate subject, we would expect that the designer would give plastic materials a wide berth, but the reality is different...

Similarly doubtful element in the SS19 collection are the shoulder pads with a pocket and a phone cover attached at the waist of the models. Practical? Certainly. But aesthetic, or commendable in the world of over-saturation by electronic gadgets? Certainly less so.
Magic play of various shades
The SS19 contains fine fashion pieces which stand out not only by their brilliant cut, but also the colouring. When creating the luxury collection, Karl Lagerfeld reached, inter alia, for the timeless blue - i.e. denim, romantic white, energetic orange and untraditional shades of cognac, tangerine or burgundy.
The luxurious Fendi models were presented in Milan by for example sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendal Jenner, and the muse of Karel Lagerfeld, Kaia Gerber.

Hat down to Karl Lagerfeld!
After a longer period of time, I had a feeling of being "LOST FOR WORDS". Certainly it is full of nonsense in the form of a mobile phone cover and a lip gloss of mass destruction... However, most of it simply gave me a thrill!
The greatest jewel of SS19 for me are definitely fur coats. Most of all I was awed by a dark brown mink coat with a huge black fox collar, decorated by fairytale-like delicate white blossoms. I know that the price tag is around one million crowns, but despite that it is simply a thing which I want and always will want to have (and one day WILL HAVE)! And my argument why to buy something like that? It is for life and such classic will NEVER go out of fashion and will remain to be in for all times!
And, to conclude, I must mention the model that has never done anything for me in the past but this time round it is all different. It is a mink sporty-style jacket, black short elastic trousers, brown, open-toe high heel shoes and a bigger black handbag (I have discarded the white mobile phone cover belt). This reminds me of the crazier creations of Carrie from the "Sex and the City” series, which put a smile on my face. In addition these elastic trousers will shape up and form the thighs through their material, which is simply a priceless bonus.
