Have you ever taken a walk in the clouds? No? You might be longing to try more than ever before, because we've all been forced to sit at home and follow the coronavirus related measures until recently. Treetop trails have belonged to the most sought-after places for quite some time now and they're sprouting like mushroomsn. The LP-life.cz editorial staff has details to share with you regarding which of them are open, where to buy tickets and what you can look forward to.
If so, a 40-meter-high and 675-meter-long lookout tower awaits you, offering unforgettable views of the countryside and, including eleven adrenaline stops. A new addition to the popular Bird Trail, which is part of the Treetop Trail, are six new models of bird nests.
Apart from the trail itself, the unique family forest playground Forest Kingdom, where your children will have a great time while you're enjoying some much needed rest, has already opened too. The cable car is also in operation, and so is the bike park (even if only on weekends so far) and the so-called "troutrail". It is in fact a bike path, and a five-kilometer-long one at that, which leads through the forest. You'll be riding mostly downhill, with some pretty steep bankings, but it's nothing a 5-year-old child couldn't handle. The opening times are daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can buy tickets at the self-service box office.
The trail in the clouds in the majestic forests of the Krkonoše National Park is definitely worth a visit. Once you've stepped on it, you'll become a part of forest life and meet a number of animals and plants that you will not find anywhere else. The route is 1,500 meters long. You'll experience a breathtaking view from a height of 45 meters. We also recommend a visit to the educational center, which is located in the basement of the wooden lookout tower. Here you will see the world from a slightly different perspective; the basement hides a unique root system of trees. You can buy tickets on site or order them via the e-shop.
The cherry on the cake: This year's hot new spot in Lower Moravia is the Mammoth Track, the longest in the Czech Republic!
In the Lower Moravia region, you can find the longest bobsled track of its kind in the Czech Republic and the second longest in Europe. It's 3 kilometers long, boasting an elevation gain of 350 meters. It's gonna be quite the ride! Dolní Morava also offers a luxurious treetop trail that will take you very high. You can visit this architectural beauty on foot or try taking your bike. There are five different possible routes. And those who don't find it appealing to climb to a height of over a thousand meters above sea level on their own two feet can use the cable car. The treetop trail is situated at 1,116 m above sea level. At the very top, there's a 50-meter-high prepared for you, from which you can observe the hustle below and enjoy an unforgettable view of the surrounding mountain massifs. If you have a really strong stomach, give a shot to the 100 meter long water slide from the top of the trail. The complex is usually open from 10 am to 6 pm. You can easily buy tickets through the e-shop.
