Spreading love and searching for your own community
The SS 2018 collection shows the “du jour” youth movement, which was all about spreading love and looking for a sense of community. This was precisely what everybody was striving for at that time and this message is now being extolled again by the Anna Sui collection. Despite the fact that everything begins in complete darkness, which beautiful models in stylish clothing emerge from, everything was perfectly thought out and it is no wonder that the collection impressed everyone.
Between two worlds
The seventies – it is precisely this period that the talented designer drew on and she chose the very best of it! Something lyrical and something emotional. The body is embraced in Victorian lace work, frills, decorated jeans and endless prints. It is so dreamy, so flowery! Some of the items sometimes come across as kitsch, but you will fall in love with the clothes despite that. You will see in them freedom, playfulness and above all loud colours.
A scruffy look
The models were not overly styled, the idea above all being for them to have natural hair. Make-up was mainly distinctive around the eyes, where a luxurious shiny strip dominated, reminiscent of tears. But these were not tears. Only flashes of optimism.
A world of rare treasures
Apart from searching for interesting fashion details from history, Anna Sui is also constantly thinking about how to improve her boutique. She came up with a great idea this time. She wants you to feel luxurious and regal when you enter her shop. This is precisely why she decided to collaborate with Erickson Beamon who created some wonderful pearl necklaces for her and the SS 2018 collection.
Jewellery which has a mission
Boho style which exudes freedom, love, luxury and naturalness: this is the most important thing here. The jewellery is unique and interesting and this is precisely why it is one of the luxurious focal points of the whole spring collection. Coloured precious stones, luxury beads, gold, silver. Simply put, everything you could possibly imagine. Show who you are, what you feel, how you feel and what you in fact want to say to the world with your jewellery. You now have the opportunity!

I have to say straight out that the S/S 2018 collection by Anna Sui is creative, playful and intriguing from the very first item! I really like the hippies style. I feel so free and so myself wearing things in this style. I feel the same with this collection!
I most like the start of the show and all of that blue I can see in it. As soon as I saw it, I called my husband to tell him that he just had to see it. He himself experienced the era of hippies when he was young and was just as hairy as the models in this show. He even said himself that he would even now wear that first item consisting of a long shirt reaching almost down to the ankles with a loose belt, tie-dyed trousers and trainers! I would join him right away and put on that thing Gigi Hadid was wearing. And where would we go dressed like that?! As far as I am concerned, to an exhibition at the Rudolfinum or for a light drink in Stromovka Park in the summer!
