The world is going to be rescued again, this time with the Czech song Snad jednou ti dám playing in the background. The new Spider-Man will feature, among others, music from the Czechoslovak band The Matadors, which significantly influenced the Prague rock scene in the second half of the 1960s.

Spider-Man: Far from home had a Czech premiere in Karlovy Vary

The new film made Czech fans of cult bands happy. Several Czech and Slovak songs can be heard in the film. In addition to The Matadors, the movie features Slovak singer Marcela Laiferová with her song Slnko (The Sun); Bedřich Smetana's Čertova stěna (Devil's Wall) or Moravská polka (Moravian Polka) by Jaroslav Fuksa and Vladimír Pfeffer.

What's more, part of the film takes place in Prague. In Spider-Man: Far from home, the hero fights evil in the capitals of Europe!

The filming took places at several locations in Prague: the Vinohrady Theater, the Opera House, the Municipal House, the Carlo IV Hotel, the Charles Bridge, Kampa, the Rudolfinum, and the Townhall Stairs. In addition to Prague, on can also spots scenes from the brewery in Kostelec nad Černými lesy and from the Edvard Beneš square in Liberec in the movie.

Not only music, but also Czech actors

Another interesting fact is that the Czech Television host, Michal Kubal, will also make an appearance in the film, in the role of rapporteur informing about the conflict between superheroes in the Czech Republic. The film hits Czech cinemas on Thursday, July 4th.
