People from all corners of the world are joining the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Some are sewing face masks or doing the shopping for the elderly, others contribute by sending money. Such as world famous stars, who aren't afraid to reach deep in their pockets to help others. Guess which celebrities aren't blind to the pandemic!

The famous American presenter Oprah Winfrey, winner of several Emmy Awards, is known for being one of the richest women in the show business. The sixty-six-year-old Oprah has long belonged to the most influential personalities. Recently, she plesantly surprised her fans by announcing that she would donate $ 10 million, which is almost two hundred and sixty million crowns, to help the Americans. Of this total amount, $ 1 million will go to America's Food Fund to alleviate the uncertainty regarding possible food shortages.

"Although it is currently our priority to survive the pandemic at home, I know many of you are looking for a way to help. I believe that the American Food Fund is a powerful way to make a difference to neighbors in need,"

Oprah shared through social networks.

The Rihanna Foundation also provided financial assistance. The star donated $ 5 million in savings to various organizations fighting COVID-19.

"When we celebrated the beginning of this year, none of us could have imagined how dramatically our lives would be changed due to the coronavirus,"

shared the singer's foundation, having sent money mainly to health or food organizations.

"It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from. This pandemic will affect us all. And for the world's most vulnerable, the worst may be yet to come,"

the singer wrote in her statement through her Rihanna Foundation.

Any help will come in handy

Actress Blake Lively and actor Ryan Reynolds announced on their Instagram that they are donating $ 1 million to two charities that provide food to the elderly and families whose income decreased during the pandemic. Both movie stars also encouraged others to stay connected with their family and friends through video calls on their social networks.

Also worth mentioning are the blonde Italian diva Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra Versace. These ladies donated 200,000 eur, which is more than five million crowns, to the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, hoping to solve at least part of the problems that the healtcare workers are facing.
