Spa colonnade in Luhačovice gets a new luxury revamp! It's bursting with color again
If you're still unsure where to go on holiday in the summer, and you're not exactly a fan of camping by the pond, the Luhačovice Spa could be the right choice for you. This year, visitors of the spa will be able to enjoy the popular colonnade in a brand new coat, as it has undergone extensive reconstruction. Forget about run-down sidewalks and drinking fountains with chipped paint. The object has returned to its original vidid colors and it makes a luxurious impression even on photos.
The Luhačovice Colonnade is no longer a disgrace and disappointment for the visitors of the famous spa. Under the baton of architect Oskar Poříska from Brno, it has recently undergone an intensive revitalization, which has restored this late functionalist cultural monument to its original state. The very center of the spa came to life again, fulfilling its role as a social center with a business zone and a selection of places to sit down and enjoy modern gastronomy.
"The complete reconstruction of the colonnade site, which was already in a state of disrepair, took more than a year and aimed primarily at maximum preservation of the original elements and careful replication. The site thus returned to its original color and the materials were preserved, too,"

A play of lights with a touch of luxury
The skylight above the central motif of the exact replica of mosaic tiles was restored and the lighting also underwent a complete reconstruction - replicas of unpreserved luminaires were placed in the suspended ceilings and the front ledge of the entire colonnade. A novelty based on the original architectural plan was also introduced: lighting on columns that gives the premises a unique touch of luxury.
The scent of novelty
The whole colonnade complex consists of three interconnected buildings, namely the Great and Small Colonnades and the Vincentka Hall, which has also undergone repairs. At its level, a new public drinking fountain was installed. As part of the revitalization, two more atriums have been restored, and all the comfort the spa guests were used to has been enhanced by an array of brand new shops, which make the colonnade more cozy. Although the ceremonial opening of the premises took place last autumn, many guests will see them for the very first time in this summer season, due to the coronavirus situation. And how about you?
