Dolce & Gabbana shows always have beauties bursting with sex-appeal and equally brilliant outfits that aren't simply a means to an end of the author satisfying their ferocious creative desires. For a moment, forget shapeless bags, PVC, bizarre fabric mixing or asexual combinations that come from the hands of other designers. It's time to be swept away by the breathtaking Dolce & Gabbana collection!
The central themes of the luxurious SS20 collection are the jungle, tropics and safari. That's why it features prints with juicy watermelon, coconuts, pineapples, cute parrots, leaves or blooming flowers. This is simply a proper Summer collection.
We're totally blown away by the melon shirt. At last, we can say "I brought a melon" everywhere we go... and it will be true!
Next to pieces covered in exotic prints you'll also find a minimalistic beige jumpsuit in the collection, a shirt or shorts in which you can aspire to become the sexiest animal caretaker at a zoo, or a safari guide.
Animal prints will also be a trend next season, especially zebra, tiger, leopard or jaguar prints. Your outfit will look great when you combine it with a little less flashy piece, such as nude shorts.
SS20 can't not contain black classics that Dolce & Gabbana's take turns into an interesting spectacle. Transparent tulle skirts, lace, corsets and a chic trenchcoat? In these pieces, men will drop at your feet.
Among all those swimsuits, mini skirts and sexy lace, a gold suit combined with a hijab looks a little funny. But sure, to each their own... It might as well be a really well thought out business move!
Dolce & Gabbana, aka welcome to Africa, that's how I'd call this show, or rather this world-famous brand's fashion show. Don't look for any big surprises here, really, because you seriously don't have to think twice about where this collection drew inspiration from. I'm a little surprised that it is in an African style, because this style could appear rather old and unoriginal.
There is no shortage of animal motifs. Dolce & Gabbana tends to surprise or shock, however, this time they presented something that we all already know very well. Well... and you know what? They'll still leave a mark on the world with this African-shamanic style. Personally I'm not much of a fan of animal prints in general, but here I have to admit that I really like it. The collection is light, fresh, nicely varied, in places its array of colors is so astounding that it becomes unwearable. The most important thing, though - most of the models don't forget about us women, put our curves first and make sure we can feel feminine. There is no shortage of elegance, and sexy and feminine models, which is important, because feeling like you're wearing a formless bag in your clothes isn't too stellar.
I'm loving the variety! If you, ladies, were setting out to travel around the globe, you'd certainly get by with this collection alone! You can wear the models to a party, for a walk in the city, but even to a very formal event. Every piece will be a guaranteed success. And what am I certain of? That girls in their early twenties will have trouble choosing from this collection, because it'd not be "free" enough for them, but they probably wouldn't be able to afford it with their saved up money anyway. Dolce & Gabbana is aimed at a different age group after all, and a different sort of people; you won't find anything for a five hundred crowns here.
Dolce & Gabbana has always been and always will be a sign of luxury. The new collection gets a big and important plus from me. And what am I most into? It's definitely the "bushman" style. It's great. I've never worn anything like it, but it already looks very comfortable and stylish from the pictures alone. And wherever the show is dominated by black, nearly everyone's going to fall in love. It's just so sexy.
