A great, aptly named restaurant in Vězeňská Street not far from the Old Town Square, offering the best of Czech cuisine, lavishly prepared from premium ingredients. We make our own sausages, headcheese and dumplings on the premises, and meat is only purchased from proven suppliers in organic quality. Dishes are complemented by fine wines from Moravia and famous wineries in France, Germany and Italy. However, the main reason to come here is the food: Katr is the first Prague restaurant where you can grill your own food - on the unique grills built right into each table. And you’ll enjoy it too. Grills are so powerful that your food will be ready in no time. What’s more, each grill has its own hood to draw the smoke.
The interior of the restaurant, designed by architects Martin Sladký and Filip Hejzlar from the de.fakto studio, is a bright, finely tuned compact space without corners or dividers. Guests can see into the kitchen and watch the master chefs at work.
