The British Queen does not usually visit any of the shows during London Fashion Week, or rather she has never done so before. Richard Quinn had this honour and what is more, the Queen also presented him with a prestigious award.
The charismatic queen, who is extremely vital for her age, sat in the front row next to Anna Wintour. During the deluxe show she presented the British Design Award to the young designer, the purpose of which is to highlight the important role of the fashion industry in society and promote new talents.
Richard Quinn creates clothes using innovative methods, he is not afraid to cut loose and his deluxe models are audacious. The FW 2018 collection plays with styles, materials and, most importantly, with accessories. Several models had their faces covered with a veil during this deluxe show, others wore helmets and the make-up artists assured the look of the remaining models by applying distinctive makeup.
The catwalk was dominated by a wave of deluxe models embellished with spots or distinctive floral prints. The majority of the collection consisted of asymmetrical items, mostly made from shiny materials.
