Prince Harry´s Wedding: We Know the Details, Including What the Guest Are Forbidden to Do!
The invitations have long since been sent out by Barnard & Westwood, the finishing touches are made to the luxury wedding dress that will first be revealed only on the wedding day. In the royal kitchen at Windsor château, preparations of a luxurious feast are in full swing. The most important day in the common life of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be accompanied by centuries-old tradition, the wedding wows are to be pronounced before God, family and the British Queen.
Prince Harry asked for Meghan´s hand in the house where they live, in Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace, traditionally kneeling on one knee. 27. 11. 2017 their engagement was announced.
The weddings in Windsor will be attended by 600 guests
The ceremony which is to starts at midday, will take place in the Chapel of St. George in the grounds of Windsor château, where Prince Harry was baptised. In this chapel, in 2008, royal wedding of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly was held here and in 1999 Prince Edward married Sophia, Countess of Wessex.
In total, 600 guests are invited to the wedding and 200 close friends are to participate in the evening party in Frogmore House at Windsor château. The luxurious couple has no official list of political leaders, implying that Prime Minister Theresa May, the US President, Donald Trump nor the previous President, Barack Obama are not to take part in the wedding ceremony. The wedding guests are people who have a personal relationship with the Prince or his future wife.
How will the wedding day proceed?
Early in the morning Meghan Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland will arrive to the château by carriage. The guests will start to arrive between 9:30 and 11:00 am. Members of the royal family will be present approximately from 11:20 and the Queen will be the last to arrive. It is expected that the ceremony will take approximately 1 hour. The traditional ceremony will be conducted by Bishop David Conner.
The witness of the bridegroom will be Duke of Cambridge, the bride will be surrounded by bridesmaids and bridesmen, including the little Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
During the wedding ceremony in the chapel the guests are prohibited to use cameras and bulky baggage and bags are also forbidden. The guests are asked not to record the ceremony on their mobile phones and not to take pictures.
After the ceremony the newlyweds will leave by carriage to central London (Sheet Street, Kings Road, Albert Road) and around 14:00 will come back to Windsor to St. George's Hall, where a ceremonial lunch will be prepared, held by the Queen.
Official photographs will probably be published a week after the wedding.
