Czech Fashion Week: From the hotel Pupp to the colonnade!

The organiser, European Fashion Agency, launched this year´s Czech Fashion Week in the hotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary and then continued at the spa colonnade in Teplice. The casting for 30 models was held on 11. May in Hilton in Prague.

The catwalks then showcased new original collections of domestic as well as foreign fashion designers. They included the favourite designer of luxury dresses, Alice Abraham, designer Osman Laffita, siblings Nikol and Jakub Poner, Anna Tejklová, Giani Galal and others. The areas of the Teplicke colonnade are as if made for for fashion shows, lending the entire event a unique stylish touch.

Designers Nikol and Jakub Poner let themselves be inspired by the diversity of female nature, which they expressed in their luxurious clothes. Each piece of the unique collection thus breathes a completely different style. The colour palette of the collection is diverse and always refers to a specific female temperament. We like the use of colours, flower patterns and interesting cuts which are really diverse.

In the collection you will find long, very stylish and feminine dresses, sexy dresses with vents, transparent lace or a deep neckline. You can thus make your choice whether you are a romantic soul, a woman who loves extravagance, but also one preferring simplicity.

The details play an important role in the designs

Nikol and Jakub Poner are known for being able to bring every detail of their designs to perfection. And this characteristic is also apparent in the new collection, decorated with beautiful and luxurious embroidery. The surprise was that no famous models appeared on the catwalk, but the collection was presented by unknown belles who embodied what the dresses represented. 

"We wanted every woman to be able to imagine the character of an individual dress on herself, according to her mood at that time, and not associate it with any face." 

Well-known celebrities, too, succumbed to the lure of the luxury dressed of these young fashion designers. Girlfriend of Jaromír Jágr, Veronika Kopřivová, appeared in a gown by the designer duo at the last-year´s Film Festival in Karlovy Vary; another was put on by Natálie Kotková and Nikol Švantnerová to the Czechoslovak Ball. The dresses of the young fashion designers are sought after by famous personalities for festive occasions such as Czech Lion, Thalia Awards and the like.

Nikol and Jakub also dedicate their time to production of swimsuits, decorated sneakers and other fashionable pieces.
