Pasta Oner, whose real name is Zdeněk Řanda, is one of the most prominent representatives of the contemporary Czech art scene. His current work relate mainly to the pop art and cartoon aesthetics genre categories.
He found himself in acrylic painting and creates canvases as well as large-format paintings in public space; he also designs spatial objects or sculptures and dabs in graffiti. The artist's work could be admired in over 50 collective and 7 solo exhibitions as of today. He proudly represents the Czech Republic abroad, for instance at the Shanghai EXPO 2010 or the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Painting the Prague Metro vestibules was a successful event that made him a famous, widely popular artist.
Pasta Oner is able to reflect on and respond to current world events in a refined manner. You will find pomp, wealth, faith, presentation of luxury brands as well as consumption beauty in his work. All these features are exaggerated, proving that everything has two sides.
For his 40th birthday, he gave himself a luxury gift - exhibitions all over the Czech Republic and one in Slovakia. Do not miss the opportunity to see the timeless works of this contemporary Czech artist with your own eyes!
