Fashion designers of the Oscar de la Renta fashion house, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia presented their luxurious, natural, but at the same time bold collection for autumn and winter this year. The greatest detail and decoration were embroidered pieces that tell a unique story and boast high-quality attention to detail. The inspiration was derived from the late, greatly revered designer, Oscar de la Renta, who led the designers into cloisters, which were the starting point for the creation of the collection.
The Fall Winter 18/19 collection of the Oscar de la Renta fashion house is full of colourful, bold, but also fine natural colours, embroidery, luxury details, creating unique ornaments on the clothes. However, the fashion is not excessive or over the top, but elegant, subtle and wearable, which is very important. Shirts, dresses with A-shaped line of the skirt, blouses, cardigans and jackets are decorated with embroidery in the shape of leaves, trees, intertwining branches which are either monochromatic or colourful and decorated fine crystals. We like the effect on the black or white clothing with embroidery, which is great, striking and very interesting. It lends the clothing flair and originality.
Spectacular evening gowns are the specialty of Oscar de la Renta. This is a feeling shared also by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, who designed for the autumn and winter stunningly luxurious evening dresses, which will turn any woman into a stunning lady or princess. The clothes are airy, lightweight, puffy but also flowing, refined and sexy. It therefore depends what does each woman prefer, but it is often better to try both of the two variants, because each cut is different and even the ones that normally don´t suit you may surprise you. But any woman is sure to find her own piece at Oscar de la Renta.
We like the collection for its versatility. The colour scale is full of striking shades such as violet, pink, red, but you can also find the classic black, white and natural tones for gentle women.
The Oscar de la Renta fashion house showed off a very nice collection for Autumn/Winter of 2018. However, from my viewpoint of a 25-year old woman regard the overall style of the new collection as the magazine section for 55+ women. But this does not mean that it would be somehow reflected in the quality - quite the contrary. This is only about the form of dressing.
For example the loose red coat with a silver clasp would look totally great on my grandmother Jaruška. It would be ideal for her for a chat with her girlfriends at Cafe Savoy and enjoy their afternoon tea. But I am not saying that this is a collection for the elderly only, I found some pieces which would suit me, too.
A khaki quilted jacket (that silver in it is really something!), long blouse and those lightly embellished Capri trousers with it. I think a super-comfortable choice for your daily rounds in the city. It is airy, relaxed and at the same time very stylish. Only those strappy sandals would not be too great for the Prague autumn rainy days...
