According to Strategy Analytics, the first quarter of 2017 was dominated by the American Apple with its two smartphones, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Next in line, i.e. the third in the rankings of the best-selling mobile devices, is the Oppo R9s. A surprising moment? Yes, Oppo even beat luxury models from companies such as Samsung, Huawei and LG.

Strategy Analytics also adds that the Oppo manufacturer is the luxurious number one in China in smartphone sales.
The showiest thing about this telephone is without a doubt its16-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking so-called high-res selfies. Among other things, the main camera offers an f/1.7 lens, which already promises decent results even in worse light. The telephone has a 5.5 inch Full HD display. Inside the phone, you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4 GB RAM. Storage space is also pleasing with a capacity of 64 GB which can be extended using a memory card. The Oppo R9s takes its power from a battery with a capacity of 3010 mAh and thanks to VOOC technology, the phone can be charged at lightning speed. This phone is sold in China for just slightly more than EUR 370, i.e. just under CZK 10,000.
Oppo is a subsidiary of BBK Electronics, a leading Chinese group which also owns the Vivo and OnePlus smartphone brands.
Oppo was established in 2004. At first however, it specialised in production of MP3 and Blu-ray players. In 2011, the company started to make inroads into the smartphone sector and gradually grew past the boundaries of its domestic market in China.
